Microsoft has really been on a roll. Every month, along with NPD data, we hear how the Xbox 360 is the top selling console. Now, in Microsoft's just released fourth-quarter and year-end earnings, we see that Xbox 360 shipped 13.7 million units (up from 10.3 million in 2010) and operating income more than doubled for the Entertainment and Devices Division from $618 million to $1.32 billion.

"Entertainment & Devices Division revenue grew 30% for the fourth quarter and 45% for the full year, due to the ongoing momentum of the console, Kinect, and Xbox Live. Xbox 360 has been the top-selling game console in the U.S. over the past twelve months," the company boasted.

Regarding full-year revenue, Microsoft stated: "EDD revenue increased primarily reflecting higher Xbox 360 platform revenue. Xbox 360 platform revenue grew $2.7 billion or 48%, led by increased volumes of Xbox 360 consoles, sales of Kinect sensors, and higher Xbox LIVE revenue."

Looking specifically at the fourth quarter ended on June 30, Xbox 360 shipped 1.7 million units, compared to 1.5 million a year earlier. Xbox 360 platform revenue grew $293 million or 29%.

Overall, Microsoft produced another record quarter as Q4 revenue jumped 8% to $17.37 billion.

looks like they might be doing some major sku revisions along with the price cut other wise they would of shipped more to get the number on shelves back up to 1.2-2M range they been doing yrs prior either that or vgc is over tracking it which doesnt look to likely

my guess is there completely axing the arcade and bringing the 250gb to $200 (and $300 with kenict, accessories dont get price cuts often so if your expecting the bundles to be $50 more than non bundle skus you will be disappointed) to possibly match PS3s $200 price tag which would make some sense with these lower shipped numbers since the current $200 and $300 arcade skus are the ones that probably get the brunt of the sales

So if its somewhere between 1.7 - 1.75 I still hold to my prediction 360 is undertracked around 200k.

Either way excellent results for the 360 seeing growth in profit and units sold.

And I will say VGC data is looking pretty accurate for 360 tracking.  Still doesn't change how I feel about Wii and pre-order numbers

i didnt make any on these site i noticed there is thread for posting predictions in but the OP didnt even post his own in it and among other things so i decided not to post in it

i did post <2M for 360 in here if i had to predict for the other two i would have to say 1.5M for Wii and 1.2 for PS3...
