Robert Boyd, developer of indie RPGs Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World, claims his firm Zeboyd Games made more money in one week on Steam as a $3 bundle, than the months both spent individually on XBL. Speaking with on the Zeboyd Games blog, via Gamasutra, Boyd said the Steam sale was a “tremendous success,” compared to the revenue gained being on XBL Indie Games Service for “over a year and a half.” Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World launched on XBLIG in April and December 2009, respectively. Breath of Death VII has 50,000 copies for $1 each, and Cthulhu Saves the World has sold between 16,000 and 17,000 units for $3 each on XBLIG since launch. The Steam bundle made $100,000 in six days with 30,000 units sold. http://www.vg247.com/2011/07/19/steam-revenue-for-zeboyd-games-beat-out-xbox-live-sales-in-just-six-days/
