| padib said: It wouldn't be funny either way. Plus, what makes anyone think AC couldn't have been made on the Wii? That's laughable. If they were able to make one on the DS (yes it sucked), I'm sure they could easily make one on the Wii. |
I never said that you counldnt make an AC game for Wii, im saying that one couldnt be made for the Wii that would be like the HD ones, at least without having to cut back on a lot of features, therefore the game would suck at worse or be not even close to actual games.
Its not about Higt Def, its about having hardware that can run certain games, the HDs can and the PCs can, the Wii cannot, its simple, its not Ubi's fault

Since Nintendo can win a generation even without decent 3rd party support, it's hard to believe that they are trying to get it so hard with Wii U.

Their thought process seems to be that they can do whatever they want when they have good third party support, because it takes the burden of pushing console sales off of them. When you look at the Wii it becomes quite obvious that Nintendo doesn't really want to make motion control games, but they still would like to have big sales, so third parties need to get on board to push the console through sheer quantity of quality software. Of course, if third parties don't co-operate, then Nintendo's console sales will be underwhelming, to put it mildly. |
That´s not happening anytime soon... Nintendo should focus on what they do best, games, instead of trying to attract third party studios that are going to leave the boat once the 720/ps4 is out. Instead of paying for to get games from them, just buy some studios, I mean mario kart wii made more than $1 billion, just use that money to buy capcom, SE, and Level 5...

Good for Nintendo. But let's not be hypocrite and state that all nintendo fans care about are sales. Many are jumping ship with the shitty 3rd party support of the Wii/3DS.

Point is the Wii gets shitty cheap games that make a lot of money, PS3/360 get great games with smaller profit margins. I'm sure you knew that though and were just trying to be funny.

I don't see the features you would lose in AC. I can understand if you're talking about COD, where it's important to see guys really far and be able to shoot them, so the higher resolution is important. But even if you're talking about processing power, what features are you refering to? And anyway, when a PC can run a game a console can't, it's almost always a visual thing (graphics), not a logic processing thing. So I don't see the game features you'd lose honestly. I admit I may be wrong here. Honest question. And to clarify, I havn't played enough of the game to tell, hence the question. |
Well hell, would love to break it down to you. THE world is huge, with vast draw distance, which i highly doubt Wii could handle, at least not fluidly and they might have to pull the GTA3 "fog" trick and that would suck. AI, Ai would not be as smart and there would be a lot less NPCs running around, which to me would break the illusion of a living, breathing world. THe games for the most part are lengthy and missions are varied. They would have to shorten them or remove them or the cutscenes. I havent even gotten to the online yet, "but there was only one game that had online", and it is amazing and almost universally praised. Im sure its going to be a staple for all future releases. THe Wii doesnt have the best online structure, there are a lot of NPCs in the multi and that is a key part of the multi portion. I hope for the Wii U they make an AC game with the multi intact, ALL gamers should be able to play it at least once, there is nothing like it

I Very much doubt the two 10 million selling Assassins Creed games couldn't pay for themselves |
so far the 'Nintendo fans are intelligenter'' Nintendo should close their consoles to third parties and losing the billions of profit they made thx to third parties W_W...
