Thanks!
As I mentioned in a reply to kain_kusanagi, out of the hundreds of songs I wrote, only one is about marijuana....but as you mentioned it's a "I'd start my day with" kind of song, which I think you mean it's an uplifting vibe to the song. You know, it depends though, because you can look at the song in different ways. If you take the lyrics literally, it's pretty depressing lyrics. However with the lyrics combined with the music, it becomes a more tongue-in-cheek song. And you know what's kind of funny, when I was depressed after my Dad died, it was this song that kind of brought my spirits up a little, not because of the lyrics, not the lyrics at all, but the vibe of the song is kinda uplifting, to me anyways. And I don't say that usually about my own songs, because as a producer, when you mix down a song with 16 to 24 different instrument and vocal tracks together to a stereo track, and add EQ and compression etc., you literally have to listen to your own song like 60 or 70 times to get it up to master quality, and so by that time, you're already sick of your own song you wrote, so normally, once I'm done with a song, I pretty much don't listen to it anymore. But the doobie song has a really nice uplifting vibe to it, so it's pleasant to listen to.
