I thought about watching the last Harry Potter in 3D at a cinema near my place.

But I was shocked by the price of admission. A regular movie (not 3D) costs 1800 Yen (22.80$), but there are cheaper days on which it "only" costs 1000 Yen (12.70$) to see a movie.

Now a 3D movie would cost me 2000 Yen (for 1 person, mind you!), that's about 25.30$!! And I think that's why I'll pass... maybe I'll watch the regular version on men's day for 1000 Yen is what I thought... But the cinema guys are sneaky. The regular version isn't offered in English dub with Japanese subtitles. >_< And I don't want to watch it in the Japanese dub. >:(

At 10.50$ and 15$ respectively I wouldn't complain. I think it's expensive, but I would pay it for certain movies.

I fondly remember my student days when I watched movies in Munich (in English) at a small cinema for under 5 Euros...

i dont see movies in 3D anyway... i just go see a movie like any other normal person , in 2D

17.50 for 3D and 12.50 for regular adults non matinee at the closest theatre to me which is in downtown los angeles so I'm sure there can be cheaper.

At the cinema I usually go to, regular student's tickets are $7.50 AUD (I think Adults are $8.50) and 3D is $13 AUD for students.
