I don't think I have ever seen anything like this before. A game that was regular in the top 3 for the past month has just vanished from the top 40.

I am guessing it was mostly being bought as a part of retailer bundles and now that Wii stock is non existent here, the sales for the game have dropped drastically.

Around the Network

Hm, that's kinda weird, yeah..

 2008 Predictions:

Wii: 44 Million
Xbox360: 25 Million
PS3: 22 Million

DS: 90 Million
PSP: 37 Million

Wtf?... Maybe NO Wii supply AT ALL in UK this week?

THE NETHERLANDS

The game is just out of stock. Check Amazon UK, they're simply sold out.

is anything Wii in stock there?
I have a feeling Japan is gonna carry the Wii this week...

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

On neogaf, the front poster yet it was limited stock of Mario and Sonic that caused it to dissappear from the top 40. Sounds reasonable I guess.

But I'm most surprised at 360 games this week there. Seriously what sparked that. Bundles maybe?

Actually, Saiyar, the press release gives the reason explicitly:

‘Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock’ gives Activision 2 Top 10 All Formats games this week, up from No12 to No9. Sega’s All Formats Top 10 representative is no longer ‘Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games’ which due to lack of stock falls out of the All Formats Top 40 after last week’s No9 placing, and is replaced with ‘The Golden Compass’, up one place to No10.

I am suspicious of this -- usually when people cry "supply constraints!" it ends up being untrue (re: DQS), but this is an official press junket saying so, so perhaps it has merit. We'll see.

Almost certainly. I've seen most of those 360 games in numerous bundles.

With Wii stuff, the supply constraints aren't a lie
