Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive, the studio behind the upcoming Xbox 360 remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, has said that he "wouldn't be surprised" to see a PC version of the remake in the future.

Speaking in the latest issue of EDGE, Karch revealed that a PC port of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is "not something that's happening at the moment," but that he "wouldn't be surprised if it did.

"One of the reasons Microsoft decided to work with us is because the tech was strong, and this game's a lot about execution. And as we work more with those guys we see a lot of opportunities, and I hope they do, too."

So far, only an Xbox 360 version of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary has been announced by Microsoft.

The game is a remake of Xbox classic Halo: Combat Evolved, which released on the original Xbox back in 2001. It lets players play the game either with its original visuals or with remastered HD graphics.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary releases on Xbox 360 this November to coincide with Halo's 10th Anniversary.

Seems like an odd choice given the game is already playable in HD on PC...

Hopefully it could mean REACH of Halo 4 could come to PC
