My choice is for Alan Wake.

I had more fun playing Alan Wake, but preferred the story of Heavy Rain. The mysteriousness of the Origami Killer was more involving as a player, but the Dark Presence in Alan Wake was more intriguing to figure out. Alan Wake's pace was faster than Heavy Rain which I appreciated on my second play-through of both games. Heavy Rain required me to constantly replay chapters to finally get my Platinum, and the slow pacing made it almost unbearable on occasion.

I really wish there was an option to just see the results. I haven't played AW so I can't compare them, but I'll say that I loved HR.

I have a feeling this one won't last very long :(. I'm gonna have to put some major 360 exclusives up against weaker PS3 exclusives to make this even,

How is Warhawk and Halo 3 not fair? We have to balance it out a little right so it's not 11 ps3 excluisves vs 2 Xbox 360 excluisves right? And 360 really has nothing that is like God of War 3.

I don't think its fair to put a beast such as Kratos up against Fable. Its over kill.

I played a few of God of War III (way better than Castlevania I'm playing now)... and I never got into the Fable game (none of them).

Voted: God of War 3.

What about Gears 2 vs MGS4? MGS4 wiped the floor with Gears 2 (more than double the votes) but both sold very closely.

It's not just about the sales.

Gears of War 2 is a far more accessible game than MGS4, MGS4 is a very hardcore game, you only ever find hardcore gamers on websites like VGChartz.

Not only that, but the game was excellent.

Just what I was going to say.  I meant to cover the MGS4 vs Gears 2 but that's pretty much it.  You're putting an online, more casual (in terms of likliyhood to bother voting for it) fanbase vs a hardcore fanbase for the 4th installment of a very fiercly followed franchise.  TBH I think Gears 2 vs Uncharted 2 would have been a more interesting contest than against MGS4.

I think part of the issue with this H2H for exclusives is that outside of Halo and perhaps Gears I just don't think there's a core franchise for 360 that has a heavy, dedicated fanbase.  Mass Effect is multi-platform now and was on PC anyway, for example, Bioshock is multi now, etc.  Really I think if you take a step back and look at the libraries and franchises its pretty obvious for the big guns which way the voting is going to go.

That's why I think it'd be better to pitch lesser known titles against each other.


Gears 2 wouldn't have gotten much votes. It would have died against Uncharted 2. Heck even MGS4 would have died from Uncharted 2. I need something from the 360 that can match up with Uncharted 2. Uncharted 2 seems to kill everything.
