This thread is inspired by puffy's original, far more useful thread

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Yep. That pretty much sums up what (the localization department in) Nintendo of America is doing.

I'm pretty sure that Nintendo Software Technology is working on a 3DS game, and the publishing arm is releasing 3DS VC, and retail games. Not to mention, Mystery Case Files just came out.

Kicking back, playing Tales of Graces, Last Story, Zangeki, Pandora's Tower, and Xenoblade while laughing at us puny Americans for being unable to do so.

Do you wonder if the European localization dude is, like, super tall, and the American localization dude is, like, a midget, and Euro-dude is, like, "Here's the source code for localization. Why don't you just get it? It's right here. Can't you jump higher than that?"

I'm pretty sure that's how it went down.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

@Metallicube @famousringo : Epic responses, both of you guys!
BTW have you heard about this?
Apparently it's the same guy that announced Pandora's Tower and TLS for Europe...
I hope this is just a coincidence...

"We are grateful to Matthew for his contribution to the deployment of Nintendo franchises in France, and the expansion of the target players. We wish him well for the rest of his career." - Stephan Bole, CEO and Nintendo Senior Managing Director Corporate Strategy at Nintendo of Europe

You might know Mr. Minel for recently revealing why Nintendo of America didn't want Nintendo of Europe to show Xenoblade Chronicles on the show floor. Seems awfully coincidental that he's leaving now! Thanks to Nintendaan for the heads up.

They been/are putting all of their chips on the Wii-U in hopes it will sell like the Wii, and the console is a year plus away from launch.
