the only not so good thing IMO is the villian...Batman got so much more crazy villians and Nolan could display them brilliantly....Bane?really?what about Riddler, the Penguin or the mad Hatter would be such great choices for the villians and what we get astupid Bane "rolleyes"

I think Nolan is going for the realistic approach.  Bats has some epic foes but they're a bit over the top.  Bane is pretty bad ass, actually.  Think of him as the anti-Batman.  He "made himself" like Batman made himself.  Except, instead of having billions of dollars at his disposal, Bane was born into prison.  He's unrelenting, very cunning, and very powerful.  We already had Batman overcoming his fear in the first film and overcoming a psychological foe in the second.  Now, instead of trying to outdo The Dark Knight, were getting the chance to see Batman's fighting skills finally get put to the test.

Yeah, it will make for a less intelligent movie but I'm hoping Bane is given as much depth as he's given in the comics (resenting Batman, wanting to BE Batman, intelligent enough to figure out Batman's ID, kicking Alfred's ass, making Catwoman his bitch, conquering Gotham's underworld, his code of honor, etc.).

^^^I just had a shocking thought:

*SPOILER?*

In the comics, Bane replaced Batman as Ra's Al Ghul's chosen one. Does this mean that Ra's could be in this movie!?

MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIE... EVER!!!!!!!!!

Words cannot desribe how much I'm hyped for this movie.

The only movie that can ever top my favorite movie ever, The Dark Knight.

Christopher Nolan's visions and the direction he takes with Batman is truly spectacular and I really think the man is a genius.

Sooooooooooooooooooo pumped for TDKR!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's also a pattern I noticed with my favorite movies of each year since 2007. It rotates between Christopher Nolan and a Michael Bay Film.

2007: Transformers
2008: The Dark Knight
2009: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
2010: Inception
2011: Transformers: Dark of the Moon
2012: The Dark Knight Rises

2011 and 2012 already have it locked in haha.

Well first off a young Ra's has been confirmed, to be played by Josh Pence and the scenes he's involved in take place 30 years before Batman Begins.

A big rumor though is that apparantly people saw Liam Neeson on the set of TDKR, in front of cameras filming!!! He denied a lot of times that he would not be in TDKR but apparently people saw him filming...

What could that mean??? Ra's is alive? Is Chris Nolan using the Lazarus Pit as rumored from the India shoot?

I don't mean to sound like a wise guy, but wouldn't this thread fit better in the "Movies Discussion" subforum?

Well then.  That's that.  Consider the surprise reveal of Ra's al Ghul as the guy behind Bane a given.  It just makes too much sense.  He's probably even going to be the guy behind Bane's inhuman strengh.  I wouldn't be surprised if Venom turns out to be condensed Lazarus Pit juice.

I don't think Harley Quinn will make an appearance on this movie, mainly because it wouldn't make any sense without joker to mold her persona. There's a bigger chance that of The Riddler appearing, but i'm glad they're focusing on Bane (I still have my doubts with Anne Hathaway being Catwoman).

Also, I think it's too soon for a new Joker to appear. Not that there aren't any actors that can pull it off, but because there's something of special in that part. Nobody thought that Jack Nicholson's Joker performance could be matched, but Heath Ledger did it. Plus, I also believe that Ledger's death still lingers a lot on the cast's minds so, out of respect, they wouldn't include the Joker character again.

I'm eager to see how DKR plays out. TDK was my favourite Batman movie, after Batman Returns and Batman, so it has some pretty big shoes to fill.

Yea theres a few rumors also going around that riddler will more than likely be in it also.  :)

<<<< John simm would play a great riddler.  :)

He would be an epic choice for the role of Riddler. He pulled of the role of The Master on Doctor Who flawlessly
