Umm God of War 3 didn't have near as much hype as Pokemon, Battlefield bad company 2, and FF13. God of War still came on top of all those in the U.S. (VGC showing some undertracking for God of War 3 in the states needs to be fixed..) But yes I think most people can see Uncharted 3 outselling God of War 3 in the Americas. 

Uncharted 3 could outsell God of War 3 in Americas, however it's not that shocking considering GOW3 is only ahead of UC3 by about 6k.

EDIT: On second thought, UC3 may not reach GOW3 in Americas considering GOW3 will probably reach 3mil there and UC3 may not have enough time this gen to reach that high.

- And I would say in about 30 weeks it will outsell God of War 3 in Americas.

- Nah, it took UC2 66 weeks to reach 2m in Americas. UC3 is not going to reach 2m in 8 weeks. Definitely not 'easy'

- UC3 may reach GOW3 in Americas, but it won't do it in 30 weeks. GOW3's going to be around 2.7m at that moment. UC3 will not be there in 30 weeks. UC2 was only at 1.53m 30 weeks after it released.

UC2 didn't launch great at all though. UC3 might have a chance of 1 million in a week in Americas so..


That's most likely not going to happen. What makes you think UC3's gonna launch much higher than UC2?

I was over-optimistic like you a while ago, but then I learned things don't generally go the way they may seem. You'll see in a few months...

I'm actaully really not that overoptimistic. I remeber telling people that Killzone 3 will hardly pass Killzone 2 (people did think KZ3 will reach 6 million) and I got called a Xbox fanboy. The only game I think I overesitmated was God of War 3. I did think it would sell around 2 million FW. But later when I knew there was no MP I knew it couldn't achive that milestone.But Uncharted 2 had excellent legs great feedback and the preorders look great in the Americas and the U.K. and the PS4 is only going to start production in late 2011. So that gives Uncharted 3 plenty of time to pass Uncharted 2. Uncharted is a growing series. Just look at Uncharted 1's week 1 and Uncharted 2's week one. With a bigger userbase now,  the fact that it is releasing in holiday season and most importantly the great reviews of the last game by both people and public Uncharted 3 will probably double Uncharted 2 week 1 sales in EMEEA and the Americas as well if it gets positive feedback (In the 90's) and  looking at the beta I can assure you that it will do much higher

Damn I can't even trust preorder chart anymore now since it's spewed with all BS. I can't believe a game would come even close to MW3 in terms of preorder. And right after Uncharted 3 gets crowned the biggest PS3 beta ever it sees a drop in preorders from 13k to 9k. It's common sense VGC use it.
