Umm God of War 3 didn't have near as much hype as Pokemon, Battlefield bad company 2, and FF13. God of War still came on top of all those in the U.S. (VGC showing some undertracking for God of War 3 in the states needs to be fixed..) But yes I think most people can see Uncharted 3 outselling God of War 3 in the Americas.

Uncharted 3 could outsell God of War 3 in Americas, however it's not that shocking considering GOW3 is only ahead of UC3 by about 6k.

EDIT: On second thought, UC3 may not reach GOW3 in Americas considering GOW3 will probably reach 3mil there and UC3 may not have enough time this gen to reach that high.

Hype is relative. If you told me a pokemon game has hype I would be confused. I'm barely aware of those games existence. I'm not checking for those games. Most people generally believe that whatever game they are focused on is the game with the most hype. The term hype shouldn't even be used in sales discussions because its so subjective.

I think U3 will have an opening of 1.5 million but go onto sell about 6 million. If the game is just as good or even better than Uncharted 2 then 6 million wont be too hard.

Well I think it can do 2 -2.5 million easy in the U.S. before the year ends. Since it's coming in November it really shouldn't be that hard. And I would say in about 30 weeks it will outsell God of War 3 in Americas.

i dont think U3 will end up with as much preorders as black ops did have the week before its release.
i'd like to see Uncharted 3 ending up successful though

- Nah, it took UC2 66 weeks to reach 2m in Americas. UC3 is not going to reach 2m in 8 weeks. Definitely not 'easy'

- UC3 may reach GOW3 in Americas, but it won't do it in 30 weeks. GOW3's going to be around 2.7m at that moment. UC3 will not be there in 30 weeks. UC2 was only at 1.53m 30 weeks after it released.

That and the pre-order charts on Vgchartz are the least accurate of all numbers on the site so take it with a grain of salt.

UC2 didn't launch great at all though. UC3 might have a chance of 1 million in a week in Americas so..
