Forums - Gaming - HTC ChaCha, buy or not ??

Hello at all !

Just to know is someone bought the new HTC ChaCha and, if yes, what's about this smartphone ? I think the cost is very expensvie but I'm not sure if there's interest to buy it...Yes, Facebook, ok... but nobody will buy a phone just for this reason...What's else ??

Thanks !!

I wouldnt buy it, HTC makes great phones but I dont like the "Blackberry" style phones with the full keyboard. It has to be a full touchscreen for me like my latest phone, the HTC EVO 3D.

I too dislike real keyboards. I like the "candybar" style phones with virtual keyboards, so no I wouldn't buy.

However, HTC always gets good marks with their Android phones, so I'm sure the phone is really good.

remember the days when people were complaining about the lack of a true keyboard and that touchscreen tying sucked... anyway thay HTC ChaCha is one ugly duck

HTC Evo 3D is already avalaible in USA ? In Europe, it will be for the next month...Probably better to wait this smartphone. Thanks for your answers...

Yes it released on the 28th,  got mine on launch day.  Its an amazing phone.  If you can hold out for it I would as its the best phone on the market currently.

Eh if you insist on a physical keyboard, you could do much better. HTC Evo 3D I think is just a pure touchscreen slate phone right? A friend of mine has the HTC Evo Shift 4G since he insists on a physical keyboard (former Blackberry user). If you want a physical keyboard phone, a slider slate smartphone like that would be a better option so that you have a decent-sized touch screen to play with (it's 3.6". The iPhone comes in at 3.5" and that's a decent size. So anything 3.5" or so is pretty much good. My secondary cell (Motorola Spice. It's like a slightly smaller cheap man's Blackberry Torch that runs on Android 2.1. For it's price, it's actually not bad but you get what you pay for. lol.) that I just got recently has a 3" touchscreen with a physical vertical qwerty keyboard. That screen is way too small and I actually prefer the virtual keyboard on my 4.3" HTC Desire HD to the physical qwerty on my second phone). The screen on the ChaCha is way too small. I don't like the Blackberry design. Definitely go with the HTC Evo 3D if you don't need a physical qwerty. If you need one, HTC Evo Shift 4G may be a good choice. Though it's almost a year old. Maybe there are better Android smartphones with qwertys on the market right now.
