Forums - Nintendo - Why are Golden Sun games so good?

ya, I basically found that dbz was a great anime when you were like 12-16 then you sort of grow up and find some better anime's.

watching DBZ everyonce in a bue moon is fine, especially the movies. lol at the uncut versions where trunks jams his fist through a guys chest in movie 9 and blood goes everywhere.

Golden sun is not just the best rpg on the GBA, its THE BEST RPG IN THE HISTORY OF ANY GAME. Hey I even think its the best game ever made..

To your eyes...Golden Sun > FF7? or =? In terms of story.

If any of those 2 answers... I would consider buying a DS/Wii O_o

hmm. that reminds me. Have you ever watched a live action, low budget, asian DB movie. The one where Goku and Bulma were still young and collecting dragon balls.

I think I remember a quote something like "This Dragon Ball is most precious to me. But since I am a horny old man, I'll make you a deal."

LOVED the first one, but the second one was quite a disappointment to me....

Yeah, I finally have a sig.

One thing someone failed to mention or even notice on the Golden Sun series (both 1 and 2). If you didn't notice in the first game, Isaac's group was going after the Mars Clan (Saturos, Menardi, Felix and Alex) to prevent them from lighting the Lighthouses (well, that part was mentioned). What some people didn't realize that Saturos, Menardi and Felix were actually the good guys to begin with. It wasn't mentioned until near the end of The Lost Age that Saturos and Menardi were lighting the Lighthouses to save their homeland in the northern lands from being sucked into a void of nothingness. Isaac's group were the bad guys, according to Alex, in The Lost Age. In The Lost Age, your group of Felix, Jenna, Sheba and Piers were the good guys trying to achieve the goal of lighting the Lighthouses. After finding Isaac, Garet, Ivan and Mia in the Jupiter Lighthouse, you tell them the TRUTH on why you need to release Alchemy.

So who was the main villan? Alex. You will see, Soriku, at the end of playing the second game what I mean. Felix and Jenna NEEDED to light the Mars Lighthouse because a group of people (won't spoil who they were) were being held hostage by the creature you befriend in the Sol Sanctum (he's not a Djinni; in the first game, he helps you escape the collapsing tower), because he did not want the Mars Lighthouse to be lit, even though the world would be destroyed if Alchemy were never to be released again.

There's also word of a Golden Sun game being planned out for DS; not in the works. How so? IGN had an article posted on this matter.

BUT, something shocking no one else mentioned in this thread. After the completion of The Lost Age, you can save your completed data file AGAIN (like you did in the first game to transfer your characters/items to The Lost Age). This means that there HAS TO BE a Golden Sun game coming out for DS, since the DS has the GBA slot.

Thanks for telling Soriku (and myself) everything that happens in the game.

Well, it doesn´t really have to be for the DS, since like in the first Golden Sun there will probably be a password system, so the next Golden Sun (really hoping there is one) might actually be on any system and still use your GBA files. Another alternative would be the game being on the Wii (which would be consistent with the latest rumor) and the file being transfered using the DS and Wii/DS connectivity
