Have they discontinued the PS2 yet, I can't believe how long it has lasted.

I'm not sure I agree with them saying that, but it is understandable...

1. Nintendo have zero experience with HD gaming

2. They were far behind technologically with Wii: CPU, GPU and Internet capability

3. The attach rate for games was lower on Wii than the HD consoles. 

4. They failed to make the demographic shift they attempted all that time ago when Resident Evil was Gamecube exclusive. MS and Sony have a lock on certain demographic groups - definitely.

So there you go. They are behind in certain aspects. Definitely not success wise though.

The Nintendo Wii will catch up and surpass current consoles. Devs are saying that now.

In Pachter's eyes, Wii is not a console for this gen...



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
