Forums - Sony - Has Sony been hacked this week?

http://hassonybeenhackedthisweek.com/

There's actually a site dedicated to just that, LOL. source.

Around the Network

I will see your troll bait, and raise you a whole lot of truth. There hasn't been a confirmed attack on a Sony website since the eighth, and that attack probably took place before the eighth. So in answer to the question. No they have not actually been hacked this week. Apparently the hackers have relented on Sony. They have moved on from what seemed to be a single minded focus to random acts of violence. Which is probably going to backfire on them in the end.

What is a story without a plot, and that is what got them noticed in the first place. None of the follow up hacks were all that impressive. What was impressive was the volume. The majority of the follow up attacks weren't even all that sophisticated either. They were creating a really interesting narrative. Which they have switched out for a narrative of pointless gratuitous violence. Bottom line within a couple weeks they are going to be ignored and forgotten. Shortly after that they are going to crawl back into their holes.

They may say they are doing it all for laughs, but the truth is they are just trolls. Everyone knows that trolls thrive on attention, and since negativity flows more readily then positivity. They are going to eventually cross one too many lines. The bulk of online users are going to put them on ignore. The media will turn a blind eye, and they are going to succumb to their own apathy. Crawling back into their caves, or go crawling back to Anonymous. Where they can circle jerk one another in forums.

Anyway why use a link to a heckler site when you can actually use a site dedicated to the entire episode. Which is unbiased, informative, and as of now the most definitive work on the subject. Anyway the media is already starting to turn a deaf ears to these guys. So this is where you are going to be able to keep up on things if you are really actually interested.
