It's interesting that some people mention PSV here in the context of the thread. If there's a single obstacle to 3DS flourishing sales outside of it's current gaming offerings (and here could be tons of complaints about Nintendo recent direction in software development) it's an original DS (or PSP in Japan), which outselling both 3DS and PSP outside of Japanese market on constant basis. What exactly changed with introduction of PSV to consider it's a big factor in handheld market (again except Japan, where it's still big)? It's not like PSV is a major revision of Sony's strategy behind PSP.
