I think it's wrong to favor censorship or try to meddle with people's private lives. Do you disagree?

Whether you're a bad person or not, I don't know because I don't know you.

For the most part, I actually agree with you. There are some people I don't  trust with their own private lives however.

.

Are you by any chance a member of the British Parliament? Or maybe the European parliament?

If not, I recommend that you become one; you'd fit right in!

i think this isn't a true reflection of my ideals which is government control with personal freedom and private, public sector which is liberal after i read all 4 or 5 of the allowed directions.

Dude, quit dreaming. There's no way you are a liberal.

well you can believe whatever you want, i know what my ideologies are and you can't tell them to me. I find this test to be full of bs

If you dislike this test, then by all means, take the PoliticalCompass test instead.

I like it a lot more, because there are ~60 questions with 4 choices. The test shows your true political ideology in a far better way. As others have said, this test is biased towards certain political ideologies (primarily Libertarianism).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Well, that test is entirely nonsensical for anyone who actually thinks about things, rather than reacting based on buzzwords. And those who do react in that way will tend towards "liberal" perspectives in both directions (thus, libertarian). Notice that the little blurbs about what each type is, has been worded carefully to use positive words in describing things libertarians agree with, and negative words for those they disagree with. "oppose taxes and bureaucracy"... except, that would be "oppose moderation and stability" to those who see it from the opposite side.

As I said, the test is nonsensical. For one thing, it blurs concepts together. One can be in favour of a national ID system, without being in favour of it being used as a mechanism for control or bureaucracy. One can be against a draft, but also against a purely voluntary military. One can consider the overall tax system to be too high, but also feel that certain groups aren't paying enough tax, and one can consider government spending to be too high, but not want to see any government service cut (this can be achieved by improving efficiency). What's more, a person can be in control of their own retirement money without privatising social security (not to mention that providing a private option, but retaining the public system, can mean that people have even more choices).

The test is also one-sided in its wording. A good test will mix up the answers so that you have to think about them. This test instead puts all "liberal" responses on the "agree" side.

In reality, the test isn't actually a test, it's propaganda. It's a list of libertarian ideals, with a choice of agreeing or disagreeing on each point... and each one is worded to make sure that "agreeing" sounds like a good idea. "Government handouts", "government barriers", "control", they've hit all the key words designed to elicit the right frame of mind.

And for anyone outside of the US, the questions are even worse, since they pose arguments that every other developed country considers non-issues.

our PERSONAL issues Score is 90%

Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 60%

According to your answers, the political group that agrees with you most is...

Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

Like a few people have stated this test could be viewed as a little biased (pretty hard not to be biased when only asking 10 questions).  I'll take the more in depth test later when I have the time.
