i think this isn't a true reflection of my ideals which is government control with personal freedom and private, public sector which is liberal after i read all 4 or 5 of the allowed directions.

Censorship - Of course not.

Mandatory military service - No, it should be a government job like any other. If shit gets so bad that my services are needed, just release weapon stockpiles to the populace, give some gun education on the spot and hope all goes well.

Laws on sex - Of course not.

Repeal laws against drug possession/consumption - Yes, repeal them. Treat addictions as a disease, not a crime.

National ID card - Not sure...


End corporate welfare - Of course.

End government barriers to free trade - Without government barriers, free trade may quickly become non-free, due to monopolies and other such things.

Let people control their retirement - Probably yes, considering that government social security looks like a Ponzi scheme.

Replace welfare with charity - No, it's too big a change and I'm not sure that charity is more efficient than the government at it (taking good governments as the comparison of course).

Cut taxes and gov. spending by 50% or more - I advocate cutting unnecessary gov. stuff (i.e. stuff that the government shouldn't do or can't do efficiently), but it most likely wouldn't cut taxes by 50%.
