Btw, Anime Expo is next weekend (July 1st - 4th). Among companies that will be there are Aksys; Bandai-Namco; NISA and Sekai Project.

Any expectations of what's going to be announced there?

My expectations - 999 for Vita/Steam from Aksys; something for Vita from Sekai (maybe Clannad or a game they already promised).

My hopes - Digimon World: Next Order for PS4/Vita from Bandai Namco; Hero Must Die from NISA. A man can dream, right?

Man, I definetly want all of that to become a reality, haven't bought Clannad on PC, in the hope of getting a Vita version and 999 coming to other platforms means more people can finally play that amazing series that made me fall in love with Visual Novels. Digimon with a PS4 version seems likely, Hero Must Die...seems unlikely, but let's hope :P

This week in musings from UK Chart:

- 1     ODIN SPHERE: LEIFTHRASIR VANILLAWARE NIS AMERICA NIS AMERICA

Yay!  But...

- 23     ODIN SPHERE: LEIFTHRASIR PS4 NIS AMERICA NIS AMERICA

PS4 version charted in actual top 40.  Was kinda hoping Vita version would too.

6 5     CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS DECLASSIFIED NIHILISTIC SOFTWARE ACTIVISION ACTIVISION BLIZZARD

I don't know where all this new stock is coming from but they seem to be printing it again.

- 15     UNCHARTED: GOLDEN ABYSS SCEA BEND SONY COMPUTER ENT. SONY COMPUTER ENT.
- 16     EVERYBODY'S GOLF CLAP HANZ SONY COMPUTER ENT. SONY COMPUTER ENT.

And this was the week of launch titles returning, lol

Only title i really want to come over is Hero must die, I thought the game structure was great and would love for other companies to try to emulate some of it.

So, I've been thinking about picking up a Vita soon, and there were some things I just wanted to know to get some insight on what I might be getting myself into

1. Does the system come with a memory card or do I have to buy one separately?

2. What are some games you could recommend?

3. Would it be better to go mostly for physical or digital?

4. Is there something I should know before getting the system (example if there's hardware issues or something that doesn't work right)?

If anyone could answer these or point me to somewhere else that could, I'd appreciate it

1. Some are bundled with memory cards yes(can't remember if all but I doubt it), usually an 8gb one. PS VITA 2000 comes with an internal memory capacity of 1gb, but that alone won't do much.

2. Depends, if you like japanese and story driven games then P4G, Tales od Hearts R, Muramasa Rebirth, Danganronpa series, Ys, Trails of Cold Steel, Corpse Party, Zero Espcape series, Hyperdimensional Neptunia series, Atelier series, Soul Sacrifice Delta,Disgaea series, Freedom Wars, God Eater series and the Senran Kagura games. Western games, there aren't much after the first couple of years aside from indies, but there are the Rayman games, Uncharted GA, Killzone Mercenary, Walking Dead series,NFS Most Wanted,Xcom, Sound Shapes, Hotline Miami, Guacamelee, Binding of Isaac and Severed.

3. Whichever is more comfortable for you, most of my stuff is digital, since a lot of good sales happen, but you gotta put your memory card capacity into consideration.I got an 8gb and 16gb one and together they're good enough for me to go mostly digital. It's also more convenient on the go.

4.Only hardware issue I've had is when my vita deactivates itself and the home button starts blinking. I looked up the reason why and it turns out you shouldn't play with it while it charges or else that happens after using it for a long period of time. If this happens to you, just hold the R trigger and power button for 30 seconds and restart it, that should solve the problem.

Also, plenty of psp and ps1 classics that you might have missed and would want to check out and play on the go are in the ps store.

Hope I was of some help :)

May I add something?

Hi Pixelperfect!

About memory card, don't worry if your memory is full, you can simply connect to PC/PS4/PS3 to transfer some of your downloaded games, saved data, musics, videos, pictures, anything into them. I did that all the time with my PC. So my memory card isn't always full, and I have only 8gb

Oh nice catch! Forgot about that. Nice teamwork ;)

1-No, the vita doesn't come with a memory card but you can find several bundles around that come with memiry card.

2- First and foremost, the vita has become a japanese niche games device. It does have some very good western games, but the majority of games are from japan.  Recommendations would depend on what genres you enjoy. I'm a sucker for Falcom games JRPGs/VNs personally and judjing by you sig:  Legend of heroes series, Ys games , Persona4 Golden, Tales of Hearts r, Digimon Cyber (great game), Gravity rush, Little big planet vita, Dangan ronpa series, Steins; Gate, muramasa. There are also lots of great indies like Guacamelee, Axiom Verge, Spelunky etc.. Plus the nicher JRPGs :p like atelier and Neptunia. I could go on for awhile.

3-I started my vita days going physical but now I'm mostly digital with the exception of japanese imports. It really depends on your preferences. There are lots of good sales that  happen from time to time too in case you go digital.

4-hmm, I don't have any issues with my vitas. If I had to decide I would say not being able to seitch between accounts on the fly like on ps3/ps4. That and start/select button were kinda awkward in the orginal vita, but it's much better in the slim.
