I'm full of news this morning.

A Sony exec acknowledges Vita!

"First of all, he talked about PS Vita, mentioning that the console was born from the idea of offering a home console experience in a portable console, and that philosophy has not changed, and he would like to continue with it.

In particular, he’d also like to keep promoting the console to children, as he feels that children are very sensitive to early gaming experiences, that leave a strong impression. He also wants to encourage communication between parents and childen, and for that the PS Vita is “very important.”

In that field Minecraft continues to have strong sales, and grew massively in 2015, but Morita-san also expectsDragon Quest Builders to have a wide adoption among children. He also feels that while many children playMinecraft nowadays, there are many that still don’t know about it (in Japan), and there he sees a further opportunity for expansion."

Well a Sony Japan exec acknowledging the vita shouldn't be surprising but if it were an American exec now that's mind blowing.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Edit: Anyway, how's Odin Sphere? I've been wanting to get Muramasa Rebirth for the PS Vita for some time and I heard that it's good.

I enjoyed Muramasa quite a bit, even bought all the dlc episodes which I enjoyed more than the main game. The combat system does get repetitve but not enough to make me want to stop playing. I think there is a vita version of Muramasa that has all the dlc included (don't know if it's digital only though)

Overall, new Odin Sphere is currently ranked first among vanilleware games in my opinion, then Muramasa DLC, Dragon's Crown and finally the main Muramasa campaign. Odin's sphere is just much more story driven than the rest which is a big plus for me, not to say I didn't enjoy all the other games.

You're welcome :p Argos did same to me with Rugby 15. Seemed to have loads and was £17.99. Now it's vanished everywhere and sellers want above retail *sigh*

Edit linknot copying from my phone properly. Base.com have it for £21.85.

Thanks Mike.  Can always rely on you haha.  Yeah, Argos really screwing me over with this.

Also, is it just me, or is Ratchet Trilogy oddly rare?  I mean, every retailer seems to have it for £22+, Amazon have it for £26; Shopto/Zavvi/Grainger don't have any copies.  Whereas my local Grainger just got a load of Jak Trilogy copies.

Sly Trilogy also seems somewhat rare, but CEX are selling it for like £12 rather than the £22 for Ratchet.

Don't understand it at all.  Rare game hunting is the worst (I'm thinking I need Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z next, that seems to be getting rare.  Also worrying that Phineas & Ferb/Space Hulk might get hard to find soon).

Man, I really wish they'd just bring the grisaia trilogy to the vita first and then talk about bringing other visual novels to it.

Speaking of which, anybody played Steins Gate? I'm wondering if I should get it so I have something to play after Cold Steel. Is it a good game? I don't mind if the pacing is slow as long as the story is good.

Yeah, Sekai Project get all of my lols.  They've been awful with Vita and have pretty much missed any release window that would've gotten them decent sales.

Steins;Gate gets batshit crazy amazing towards the end, but before that it spends a lot of time character building and not much else.  I enjoyed that, though.

That's all i needed to hear, I expected it to have a lot of character development anyway, as long as the ending is worth the journey and the characters are interesting throughout it, I think I'll enjoy it

I'll check it out. Thanks!

I actually got Space Hulk 2 weeks ago for £11 on Ebay. X-Blaze was also pretty well stocked as even only selling physically at Rice Digital, they reduced it to £14.99.

But after how the Rugby games went from being reduced everywhere to being unavailable and £30-40... I wouldn't take anything for granted.

Space Hulk was like £16.95 on Amazon. Don't know if it still is, I don't generally shop there, and didn't buy that because you now have to spend over £20 for free shipping.

I fear most new releases now are going to disappear pretty quickly now, unless they're NISA. Man Phineas... £24.99... really? don't... want... to... lol

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
