Yeah I know the way our country is set up is weird. Its mostly because of our large size and small population that we are this way. Makes things easier for transport, work, internet (which is still a joke), electricity etc.
Plus a lot of Australia is uninhabbitable =P Not really, look at the way some other countries live, Im sure they would do just fine living in the middle of the country in the desert. Were just lucky enough to choose to live on our beautiful coastline.
I personally wouldnt know what its like to live in a larger city, for Australian standards though where I live is considered large as long as we ignore the capitals =P
I live in the 2nd largest city in my state and yet the capital is 24 times more populated. Always found it funny that just 2 cities here make up 40% of the population.
Anyway you should totally join Sydney in the Freedom War, we offer you beautiful woman and lovely beaches were you can spend you days relaxing, surfing and fishing =P

These are just the cities though. Their agglomerations and people who work there on a daily basis are about 5 mil each. And you know, this is actually because Australia is so weird and you only live on such a tiny area along the coast. In Poland we have 40 mil people and only Warsaw is 1+ mil. I think this is better by the way
It's not good when a city is too large.
