I don't really know.  I've never actually played one extensively, only an hour or two of Etrian Odyssey (which was okay).

I like JRPG's, but I kinda feel like the first-person perspective would be something I don't like too much.

tbh, I was in the same exact boat as you before I played it. I only tried Etrian Odyssey before and that was my experience with 1st person JRPGs. Still, I rather enjoyed it.

That Bokusasu: tatsukono game with girsl cosplaying/genderbending/atroponorphizing characters from that Studio looks interesting...

And.. Just finished Blazblue Chronophantasma story mode this morning... was a lot of fun and exciting... But now the hype goes for the next game -.- meanwhile, well... let's wait for the update 2.0 with Celica and Lambda11 as DLC and other balancing... Now I'm gonna play Akiba's trip 2...

Anyways did Chronophantasma advance the series plot a lot.
