When was the last time Sony viewed Vita as an AAA system at all? I think it's basically their way of saying yeah, we're not making any more Vita games for the Western market.

I've never really thought about it before, but yeah.  I'd argue that western Sony haven't bothered with greenlighting anything for Vita since it was launched.  Killzone & Tearaway were pretty much remnants from pre-launch that just took a little longer to develop.  We've had Borderlands, but a reactionary port isn't exactly long term planning.

Oh well.  At least I love Japan :)

Ditto, the golden era of gaming for me was when Japan was still a major international powerhouse. The Vita kicks up some nostalgic feelings from then. I can't complain with the line up at all apart from a few games that would complete it. Pretty much all could and should have been provided by Sony for release in 2013/2014. But overall, very happy, been a hyperactive lineup in 2014 for me so far.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Something else about Phantom Breaker that I found kinda interesting/worrying:

http://gematsu.com/2014/07/phantom-breaker-battle-grounds-ps-vita-western-release-date-announced

"Producer Masaki Sakari notes that this is the first time 5pb. has released a game worldwide for PS Vita and it hasn’t been pleasant. Every branch of Sony Computer Entertainment has different pre-release certification standards and how their individual rules break down. Instances where there would be an OK in one branch would be a problem in another. Sakari says SCE was generally not receptive during negotiations to bending the rules to accommodate their needs, especially SCE Europe."

Wait, 5pb. are publishing this worldwide themselves for Vita?

Guess I have to buy it then to support them

This has been arround during a bit, small to mid japanese games being self published by their original publishers/developers.. is a new trend..

is a good thing and Vita is becoming very active for it...

hello everyone! The new user of PS vita (and a hardcore one at that) reporting in! *hand salute lol*
very happy with my vita and hoping to embrace it more in the future but since Sony had doubts on western markets is just makes me sad. seriously vita needs more killer games and at least a spin-off from big franchises like MGS, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy (type-0 was a huge letdown to me).
But at the same time, Sony should support new exclusives like Soul Sacrifice, Ragnarok Odyssey and Toukiden to release sequels rather than expanded version.
I know that would cost a lot of money and maybe would turn out as not expected but they should give it a try.

First, BL2 is an outdated port. And the bundle is overpriced due to shortages (GameStop puts everything inside of it), and couldn't find it in GS stores unless you order online, so yes you can't find a single Vita on the shelves there, it's very rare that you get to see one.

well thats bad. here in my place there's plenty of them waiting to be bought, both OLEDs and LCDs

Umm Phantom Breaker Question
I know it released in NA for Xbox 360 already, what was the price? So I know the Vita price.

Next question, though I'm sure it'll be digital only, does it have a physical release? Scott Pilgrim is one of my fav games last gen on PS3 and that game is so similar, I'd love it physically
