Looks like something went wrong with the Nisa Euro shop debut. But I dont' understand what...
http://store.nisaeurope.com/blogs/news/15101367-nisa-europe-online-store-press-release

In the meantime, the European PS blog post on Freedom Wars has collected 188 comments, of not exactly congratulating nature.

The problem as am sure someone from Europe can explain it better is that the EU store is using 1 to 1 pricing and using british pound so 40$ vita games are 40£(68.6$). The shipping pricing is also questionable(5£ inside UK and 10-15£ for international), so it becomes cheaper to just import from US. People have been complaing on Twitter and their facebook page and the press release doesn't seem to address anything really.

An example : Dangan Ronpa 2 LE is selling for 60£ + shipping comes to 75£ which in turn translates to $128...

Blame your VAT and other luxury taxes.

You legally have to pay VAT on any item imported to the UK worth over £18 anyway so unless you're avoiding tax it's not VAT. It's just that handheld games have always commanded prices much closer to home console games in the UK. Average price for a home console game is £40-45. Handheld £30-40. In the US handheld games are often half the price of home console games $30-40 vs $60.

Given that the Pound is already work 1.7x a dollar, it's this pricing factor that makes UK releases so much more expensive.

True, VAT in EU is usually 20% and above (25% for me). But the shipping rates are just greedy, given that most online shops ship for free inside UK, and charge a few pounds for the rest of EU. This shipping is even worse than Amazon, and I thought nobody can be greedier than Amazon.

Also, NISA will not ship outside the US anymore, since we have our store, so there is no way to get those games cheaper.

I could've sworn I saw an update of this recently that it had passed 200k sold, but I can't seem to find it.

Still, makes sense, it's by far and a way their biggest success story and they'd be stupid not to try and replicate it with a sequel.

Still have to pick this up at some point...

You're the bringer of good news today, huh?

Always wondered why this wasn't already coming to Vita.  Good for them.

It's not VATs fault. Every other retailer is able to sell games at reasonable prices. As long as others such as Game and Amazon still sell NIS games it won't bother me what their prices are because I won't be buying from them.

The problem is not with games, but with Collector/Limited editions that are only sold through NISA store.

Luckily, I only care about games, as I don't collect anything. But it's still upseting to see those kind of rates...

VGP has already made Criminal Girls available for preorder. That is about as good as confirmed for physical version, because they put games up only after confirming it with the publisher.
Tentative release date March 10, 2015.

Awesome news that Demon Gaze 2 is in development! I've really enjoyed what I've played of the first one.

It's NISA.  They're the Kings of physical releases.  Seriously, I still don't understand how they've gotten so many games on shelves and still managed to keep turning a profit with such low sales.
