Makes sense.  999 was a DS game and Conception 1 was a PSP game.

That said, VLR doesn't look that bad to me, at least in screenshots.  Is it obviously a 3DS up-port when you're playing it?

Yeah, some things didn't really upscale well. And it just looks generally lower budget besides.

I think Demon Gaze, much like Gravity Rush, looks a lot better when you're playing it than it does in screens.

Really low resolution textures and low poly models.

Hmm, maybe.  I'll willing to pick up VLR at some point regardless though.  It's a VN by the company that made Dangan Ronpa.  Sounds good enough to me!

VLR was on PS+. Didn't you get it? I think it looks ok, it's a great game no matter how you slice it. Wish I could reply 999, but my DSi has a malfunctioning screen and I kinda feel that Nintendo will keep on updating the 3DS hardware.

Also there's the fact that the US's numbers for Conception 2 on Vita are pushed up by importers from Europe. Yes, the number may be rather insignificant, but I don't believe that I'm the only one who's buying the Vita version over the 3DS version because region locking.

I don't consider rigth now to import any game from another egion (but have Ragnarok chinese edition that bougth from a friend) but is great to have the option... now if only I could have two accounts at keast on my Vita :/ so I can buy Japanese PLUS.

I feel like Vita isn't really region free, at least not completely - it's because of the DLC. If they were working with every version of a game, it would be sweet. The way it is now, I'm only importing the games that have no DLC and I'm just ignoring games that are retail in NA, but have DLC and are digital only in Europe. I wait till they enter PS+ or are sold at a very, very high discount. But now I'm leaning into waiting for PS+, as sooner or later they all end up there and there is no difference for me if I've got it digitally because I pay for it or because I get it from PS+.
