Seriously though, the name probably made more sense in Japan.

The name makes perfect sense in both English and Japanese.

Gravity Daze- You can control your gravity and are often left dazed because we dont know how to make camera controls =P Seriously I was always fucking confused in that game

Gravity Rush- You can control your gravity and are left in a rush because you can only control it for so long before you die because you are dazed by the terrible camera, you now want to rush through the game so you never have to play it again.

Annnnd, Im out of the cult

Today was so weird.
I applied for job a couple weeks back and managed to land two at the same place !! Best part I only work till 2pm :)

I thought I might have to slow down on gaming, so glad that won't happen.

I loved Gravity Rush and I found the Gravity Kick mechanic amazing. But since so many complained about it, you make me doubt myslef...

So, I want to be sure that you all understood how this thing works:

Roughly aim the G-Kick with the stick, then quickly finetune it tilting the Vita itself at the last millisecond before "launch". After the kick motion starts, you must HOLD the kick button to let Kat literarly home on the target like a Sidewinder missile, even if the initial aim wasn't so accurate She actually homes to the valid target closer to the center of the screen.

Worked like a charm for me. If you follow my advices and still don't efficently G-kick the monsters, then it must be really a matter of gameplay taste.

I don't intend to defend the Goddess at any cost. I found some of this game's aspects to be still a little unpolished, but Gravity Kick and combat in general felt very good to me.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I had zero problems with Gravity Rush's controls or camera. Everything worked better than I dared to hope.

Just finished (and platinumed) Gravity Rush after having it sitting on my shelf for some time, and I have to say that it is a truly great game. I loved playing through it, although it was fairly easy. Some of the fighting mechanics were a bit tiresome at some point though (Gravity Kick I am looking at you). My only real "problem" with the game was the name... Gravity Rush... I mean, it does a good job explaining the gameplay mechanics, but I think the problem appears when you decide to put a story into the game. Then the name feels kind of amateurish and rushed, like they couldn't come up with anything better and just decided to called it Gravity Rush/Daze.

What you guys think? Please don't hate me

Yes, It should of been titled "Our goddess Kat, We are not worthy, Praise Kat".

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Same here. No problem with the controls at all. There was also nothing I disliked about the game, apart maybe from the graphics.

I kinda agree with you. Controls were not so good and many times i found myself wondering where the hell was up and down or where exactly was i going into :P
About the name of the title: Yep i agree on that too. It seems that the game is like arcade-ish? and not an adventure one.
But the good thing about Gravity rush, is that its a very good effort for a new IP and i hope the successor brings the improvements we want :)

Well, for the Gravity queen up or down doesn't matter... but I didn't found major problems ith the camera.. just that have low sensibilty to turn arround.. ad lIke Badgenome, and others I used to combine stick and motion controls to aim.. making the gravity kick my most effective attack... actually if one thing I could complain is about the melee attacks... and the low variety of attacks and special moves... I hope for GR2 we have more moves and with raven better :)

That guy is my favorite journalist when it comes to the business of gaming. He is very knowledgeable and professional, and I always enjoy reading his articles.

I disliked the screenshots.. because the resolution wasn't native sometimes screenshots looked awful.. a shame, because the game kinda pretty art design in characters and enviroments.. even for a sandbox, looks pretty great, and being a launch title moreover.. let's wait for the next game and see the evolution...
