Honestly, I think I have my buying habits sorted for the next 2 months and then they knock £15 off Atelier. Now I think I'm gonna have to cancel my FFX pre-order so I can pay for Totori Plus...

Also, if anyone was thinking of buying Stick it to the Man, it's cross buy but that post has it 20p cheaper on Vita. So you can pick it up for both consoles and buy a Freddo if you get the Vita version.

Atelier games are good and so relaxing :D (except for the time limit)

Guys, can anyone give me a quick run down on Atelier games? I've never played any of the series before and now in discount im thinking of getting them.
1. Are they sequels or like final fantasy unique stories?
2. Is there a specific order to play them?
3. I saw that a newer version with better graphics was coming to EU (?) with updated char designs? Is this correct? Which game is this applied to?

1. The Atelier games are sort of split into trilogies. The games within each trilogy are loosely related with only some jokes and reaccuring characters.

Arland Series (PS3) (Atelier Rorona, Totori, & Meruru)
Dusk Series (PS3) (Atelier Ayesha, Escha & Logy, and one unannounced one)
(There's more but naming them would go back to PS1)

2. As for orders if you want to go into the Arland series, I'd suggest skipping Rorona and starting with Totori.
The Dusk Series you can start either at Ayesha or Escha & Logy.

3. I think the game you're thinking of is Escha & Logy, which is in a new engine and has general improvements (I'm really excited for it)
Note: Atelier games aren't like normal JRPGs and are more focused on item crafting and character relations (sorta has the same feeling as Harvest Moon?)

@Akiran: I believe there were also rumours they'd expand on the Arland series and make more games but nothing has been confirmed. I'd honestly prefer if they'd show some progress on Chronos Materia, that game looked good, and announced the third Dusk game.
