NISA used to do all ATLUS's stuff. It's SEGA that's led to that being Digital :/

isn't XSEED now owned by Gung Ho, who publish physical globally except the EU? It needs to be demonstrated that physical releases perform notably better than digital only. As for both Atlus and GungHo, there is no reason at all the games can't have a physical release.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

#ludicrously optimistic scenario

Due to unforseen sales boom of Vita hardware, SCEE were forced to bring the Slim Vita launch forwards as retailers were running out of OLED stock and some Western 1st party releases will be announced with the US reveal in about 6 months if they manage to flog off their launch allocation by then :P

06 months.. we are at the first month... 01+06=07. MEGATON! FInal Fantasy VII remake incoming exclusively for PS Vita!

As for Mind=0 also now being digital only. Seriously any EU Vita owners should buy the crap out of the games that we're being given the courtesy of a physical release for this year!

I don't think that's going to make much difference tbh.  The only localization house which is releasing physically in Europe is NISA.  Atlus/XSEED/Aksys are going to release digitally unless NISA picks up the title for distribution (i.e. Persona; Ys).

NISA will probably keep on doing it regardless.

Well, there's also Ghostlight and Rising Star Games that pick up some of them. Ghostlight has published some of Atlus's games in the past and Rising Star Games picked up some stuff up that Aksys localised for the US market if I recall correctly.

But yeah, Europe has always been pretty dire when it comes to Japanese games. That's the reason I bought an American PS2 just some days ago. And thank God for DS and GBA being region free.

We probably should be happy that we get these games in the first place. Oh, and that Vita is region free, of course. I would have bought Conception II on the 3DS since that's my primary handheld (or rather primary console period), but now I'll have to go with the Vita version.

It's a shame though, especially since Vita is essentially dead in America while it at least does SOMETHING in Europe (despite us getting screwed over when it comes to physical games).

@badgenome : I am ashamed to admit it but I have never played yakuza before, but i'm thinking of importing the spin off for PS4 should I ?

I'm very proud of you. The first step to dealing with a problem is admitting that you have a problem.

Yes. Play Yakuza. Play them all.

XSeed is owned by Marvelous, but yeah. I think Rising Star used to pick up their games in Europe.

"Massive" Year for Vita in terms of Sony means: "We do nothing for the system and let other developers do all the work."

I would be excited if this statement were from Aksis or XSeed or any other company that is actually supporting the system.

Yeah, forgot about Rising Star & Ghostlight actually.  The point I was trying to make, though, is that buying NISA games physically isn't necessarily going to convince Atlus & Aksys to start publishing games physically over here because they still won't have distribution networks.

I suppose the best thing to do is make sure you pick up the physical version of Sorcery Saga to convince Ghostlight to pick up more of their games to bring to Europe.  But if anything, I think Atlus & Aksys are just going to go digital since they get more money that way.

S'a shame.  But thank god for region-free, eh?  I don't mind importing and it makes me very happy that I can have a physical copy of these games.

Only freaking problem is the dlc and the user pass, since Sony doesn't allow multiple user account on one vita.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont
