I don't think it's much fun to play the Toukiden demo online. The bastards only put in one boss fight for the NA demo (Spider) and he is a very easy  boss. It isn't the same as the jp demo that had Gouenma (Giant Monster from the trailer) and another boss.

Also, some news : just saw on famistu, freedom wars is launching simultaneously in Japan and Asia anda reminder to the Falcom fans, there is a January 25 live event so we might finally know if that Ys concept art is a vita, PS4 , or PS3 game.

oh that's a bit disappointing then...but it's been a while since we did an online co op thing :D It was fun with both SS and Ragnarok

If Freedom Wars is launching in Asia...that means it will have english VO right? At least that's what I thought about Asian releases

And I'm guessing that Ys game is a PS4 game...best case scenario for us it will be PS4/vita

ususally games that launch in Asia the same time as Japan lack any English unfourtunately. So probs wont be importing it then unless by some miracle we get Eng subs day 1

No, Freedom wars is launching in chinese. I did find this tidbit  talking about city-state competition in the game. They didn't detail the info, but i think it might something like  stats for each region (rescues/failures/ how much prison time etc..) but who knows, it might be something else.

Fear not guys, Siliconera to the rescue!

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/01/23/freedom-wars-will-simultaneous-release-japan-asia-regions/

At the Taipei Game Show today, SCE Worldwide Studios producer Junichi Yoshizawa announced that Freedom Wars for the PlayStation Vita will launch in Japan and Asian territories simultaneously sometime in 2014.

Not only that, but since Freedom Wars takes place in the not-so-far-flung future of 102013, where nations are replaced by prison cities called Panopticons, at launch players in Asia can also pick to play for their own country in real-life, for the purpose of the online metagame. After the stage presentation, a brief group interview session with Yoshizawa and game designer Toshiyuki Yasui was held for media representatives in attendance.

Siliconera attended the presentation and the very first question we asked was about something we think many of you reading this would be quite anxious about localization plans.

At the stage presentation, you announced that Freedom Wars will launch simultaneously in Japan and Asia. Is that just in Japanese?

Junichi Yoshizawa: The game will be released in Japanese and Chinese.

What about an English version? Will there be one?

JY: At the moment, we’re currently focusing our production efforts on the Asian release, which will come first. As for the game’s release in Western territories, please look forward to hearing the details on that in a future announcement.

What I meant to ask was when the game launches in Asia, will there be an English version?

JY: At the moment, the simultaneous Japan and Asia launch for Freedom Wars planned is for the Japanese and localized Traditional Chinese versions.

Also at the presentation, you talked about the war being waged between different Panopticons to "recapture" from one another, and shared that players in Asia will be able to experience that online. Can you provide more details on that?

JY: Well, at the beginning of the game, players can choose which Panopticon city they belong to. And these cities that they can pick from are the ones we showed you on a map image at the presentation — there’s Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.

And then what happens is, to help their city develop, what players can do is log-in and embark on Volunteer missions on a daily basis to recapture from other cities (note: in the game’s universe, every time you embark on a mission, you are considered a Volunteer).

We’ll have more on Freedom Wars soon.

They've got Sorcery Saga listed for 21st of February, same date as Ys.  We haven't heard head nor tail of a release date for that one yet so it's gonna be interesting to see whether they're right about that.

The fact they have what looks to be a final EU (PEGI) boxart would make me think it could actually be a pretty accurate release date.

I have just pre ordered every EU release apart from LEGO Movie and Football Manager from ShopTo :p Physical Vita releases are now so slim on the ground, that for the most part I'm going to get them day of release and support the developers.

On a collection update, Jonah Lomu Rugby came, also have Lego Chima, Amazing Spiderman and Blazblue Continuum Shift LE having finally been reduced to below £20 which turned up today :D

All these US CE's are annoying when we don't get them, as I'm torn over whether to just get a US LE, or to support the EU release.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I don't think that's true.  LEGO Legends of Chima was stocked everywhere I checked when it came out and amazon were selling it for £10 + free shipping over Christmas (which is when I bought my copy).

Just depends on the game.  NISA titles are obviously going to have smaller print runs because of the size of the company.  Tecmo Koei seem to get enough stock of their games out so I'm not so worried about Dynasty Warriors XL.

Not that I'm complaining with your support, though.  Wish I had enough money to do the same!

All this talk about regions is making me hungry. It also makes me wonder, when is Destiny of Spirits coming back?!

I meant they happen so infrequently. I've just pre-ordered about 10 games, and it covers 6 months.
