Welcome to the thread!!! Get Gravity Rush and offically become part of the cult!!!

Well, let me just say this. When I got my Vita (actually just before I got it) I bought 3 games and a 32GB memory card. These three games were Persona 4 Golden (basically the game that I couldn't resist and had to get a Vita for), Ys: Memories of Celceta, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand.... Gravity Rush! So yay! I'm part of the cult! Gravity Rush was one of the most appealing Vita games by a long shot so naturally I had to get it! :)

Praise Kat!!! Welcome to the cult

Kat!! She is truly great!

Just got Tearaway for a late christmas present...but now I face a moral quandry: do I finish Ys first, or jump right into Tearaway?

Neither, you get your ass back to a store and buy another copy of Tearaway just to show the game the love it deserves! :D

Seriously though, Tearaway is so far removed from Ys that I think it would complement your gaming pallate rather than oversaturate it if you played it.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I got a PSVita over the holidays. I hope I am welcomed to the Vita family. I have been abscent from these forums for a good amount of time. No particular reason for the absence, just sort of naturally drifted away like a petal in water.

In any case, I'm really liking it! I'm a huuuuuuuuge JRPG fan so naturally the back catalogue of PSP games and the current library of Vita games, while small, but still good, is very exciting! But I only have so much time and I have a ton of other games to finish on other platforms so I don't imagine I'm going to get very far with my current Vita games yet, but soon!

Congratulations and welcome! What are your initial thoughts on the system?

Honestly, I really like it. I love the ability to have my PSOne games plus a PSP back catalogue with me on the go along with a good Vita game all at the same time. And considering I'm coming from having a 3DS for two years (which I love), it feels nice having a legitimate account based handheld platform. It's cool to check my friend list and see what they are playing whether it's on Vita or PS3 and be able to send messages. I even dabbled a bit in remote play with the Ico collection and find that to be a lot of fun while I watch some TV.

Also, I actually kind of like near. I know lots of people think it's useless, but considering how I don't live in a majorly populated area and considering the Vita isn't the hottest seller, I was really surprised and happy to find 9 people in my location.

Overall, I really do like it a lot. It's very nice system!

Rayman Legends 8-bit levels are freaking amazing LOL Best part of the whole game IMHO

Happy 2014 Vitabros. Thanks for making my favourite thread on VGC so awesome throughout 2013.

Here's to a great year of handheld gaming. 2012 seemed to be the year of portable versions of home console franchises; 2013 was the year of the indie and 2014 seems to be the year of the localization. And I for one cannot wait.

In that case I hope 2015 is gonna be like 2012 again

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

If we'd be getting more stuff like Uncharted/LittleBigPlanet then I'd totally be on board with that.  If we got a year of Blops Declassified's and Resistance's then no thanks; I'd rather put my faith in the Japanese who at least treat handhelds with some kind of importance.
