You only care about VITA because it provides you some niche games you couldn't have on any console because it will bomb hard on it. Good mentality. Why not creating another thread about anime niche games ? Plus do  you know why even anime games should worry about mainstream too ? Because with Nintendo not able to compete in hardware market and niche anime game being not profitable at all on PS3/4/360/One, the vita is the last refuge to the genre. If the Vita disappear, what would be the next superior hardware anime niche games will go ?

do you really think people will choose to not buy a PSV because they see some games they dont want. Of course not. If Uncharted, AC, CoD etc intrest them they will buy the console when they feel the price is right, weather thats now, black friday or after another price cut. If they feel like they need more games to warrant a purchase they will wait for more games that interest them. but never will they not buy a Vita because there are some games they dont want when there is others that they do. if that was the case consoles would never sell.

That's the lowest score I've seen for it. Eurogamer gave it 9 reviewing the PS4 ver which is the one I'll be getting at some point but yeah definitely cautious about the new NFS personally. I'm not sold on the"always online" challenge stuff.

I'm pretty irritated at your post but I'll try to be nice. I don't really get what you're trying to say. Why should someone care what the majority wants as long as the individual get the games they want. Or why do they even care whether the vita gets mass appeal or it's selling well?

Are you saying that the only way to feel satisfied with the games/ consoles is that many others are playing it and it's mainstream and not a niche? Whether a system's library consist of more mainstream or niche games has no correlation to sales. People see that there are enough games that interest them to justify the purchase, be it mainstream or niche, they will buy it. Who cares if there are 100 of those other niche games in the library that you don't care about as long as you get what you want? More games is always better.

Like it or not, majority or minority still is a part of that install base and contribute to the overall sales. Why should sony neglect the minority when appealing to all of them can only mean more sales?

I get you're not too happy about the vita's line up but you shouldn't confuse between what you want, what the majority wants and what others want.

so decided to go through VGC sales numbers on Vita.
Think its fair to say that 5 of the top 21 games are of this so called niche Japanese crap that nobody wants,
And then roughly 1/3 of software sales come from said games
obviously weather certain games are or aren't in this category is debatable but I must say without these sales Vita would most definitely be all but dead worldwide right?? Or would sales be better because we no longer have all these crap games =P

Diverse set of games = Good for everyone. it's good for the consumers and it's also good for the system.

And every time I see/hear about the games Nesfe gets to play I get so damn jellly! lol Hope some of them get localized

Bro those niche games is what made the PSP popular. Besides Tales Of and now God Eater are well known franchises. Those are the games that needs localization.
