On the one hand, free to play, bleh.  But on the other hand, awesome!  I've been getting into this series recently with the first game.  I'm really enjoying it.  It's basically 2D Dungeon Keeper, but more of a puzzler than a strategy game.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.  Hope it comes to the west.  Sony owns the IP, right?

That actually looked pretty neat.  I'll happily take Terraria clones anyday.

To be fair, they released a tonne of stuff this year.  Senran Kagura / Muramasa / Valhalla Knights, and they had a hand in Soul Sacrifice.  Probably just need more time to get their other projects ready.

well it's their biggest portable IP at the moment. They should keep nurturing the IP and expand it

Sometimes it baffles me how every single game in this series has made it to the west.

I believe XSeed have said this is one of their most successful IPs in the west or something similar. I'm guessing there's a good niche following for it or something

Really?  Yikes.  Let's hope this one continues that trend then.  They're not leaving much time between announcement and release!

(Maybe they just buy the rights for cheap and there isn't a lot of text to translate, meaning it can be profitable with less sales or something.  I suppose they get the rights for free these days since they're a part of MAQL).

I wonder how Soul Sacrifice Delta will perform in Japan.

Sony are definitely doing the right thing if they want to push it as a big IP over there... "G" versions while the next game is development definitely keeps momentum going.

I just wonder if they've backed the right series. Freedom Wars seems like it'll have a lot more mainstream appeal. Soul Sacrifice looks like a much "better" game in my eyes, but that doesn't always translate to commercial success.

Regardless, it looks good. The first game has been on my "to buy" list for a while, but I may as well just wait for Delta now.
