ivanpgcs said: On October 10, Sony will release a lighter and slimmer PlayStation Vita. The PCH-2000 model is 20% slimmer and 15% lighter than the original system. The front screen has also been changed to a high-definition liquid crystal display instead of the OLED screen in the first generation Vita. Sony says the screen is capable of displaying 16 million colors, making it comparable to the OLED display. PlayStation Vita 2000 has a rounded design. Notice that the button layout has changed too with the start and select buttons underneath the right analog stick. The new PlayStation Vita has longer battery life that lasts about one hour more. You can charge your system using a standard micro USB cable too. Sony also added 1GB of internal memory to Vita. A nice addition, but you will probably want a memory card if you plan on downloading Vita games. Sony will have six colors prepped for launch white, lime green & white, light blue & white, khaki & black, pink & black, and black.

Looks a lot like the E1000 PSP Street model from the front. High Definition LCD, so they upped the resolution? I thought about it, it makes sense for movie viewing, youtube, etc. to view in native 720p resolution, not for games.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
PHANTASY STAR NOVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like I'm the only one who doesn't like PS Vita 2000.
I think we will NEVER KNOW what the old PS Vita accessory port was intended for.
Unused potential.
I will buy PS VITA TV instead of PS4! It's awesome!!
Persona 5 on PS3, I won't need next gen!
Well, looks like I missed one hell of a conference!
My thoughts:
- 64GB card - best news of the conference. Will be getting one.
- New model Vita - it's okay. I don't have any problem with the size of my current Vita though, so 20% smaller and 1GB internal storage isn't really worth the trade of OLED vs. LCD, imo.
- Phantasy Star Nova sounds awesome. Will buy it if it comes to the west. Also, it's got big sales potential in Japan if Portable 1 & 2 are anything to go by.
- Soul Sacrifice Delta - will wait to see if this includes all the content of the original game and will pick it up instead if it does.
- Danganronpa - looked pretty cool actually!
- Kagero - also sounded pretty cool.
That's it for my interest, but I hope some of these games make it over to the west. I was disappointed with no Gravity Rush 2, but there's always TGS. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of Over my dead body 2 tomorrow.
Slightly off topic, but PS4 seems to be getting EDF (yay!) and an Idolm@ster game too. The latter seems like pretty big news.
Walks in thread..
OUMAYGAAD, why can't I hold all these news.. VITA IS THE GAMING PLATFORM JAPAN SHOULD BUY !
Very COOL PS Vita
ps: I guess NOW reviewers will compare PS Vita to Home consoles graphics a lot MORE!
Persona 5 on PS3, I won't need next gen!

Well.do you remember when I told the post-e3-maximum-dissapointed-mugen that they need the big show to create a momentum for the ps4 and have to avoid at the same time that new vita announcements are buried by the ps4 hype and that big news will come when they have the chance to get the diserverd attention?-i think the time is now.
I think the best thing for sony was to get rid off the incompetent anglo saxon old fart howard stringer(though his brother is still there)
Watched the video, everything is very cool, still they didn't say one crucial thing for me. What about memory? Is it internal, what amount if so? Memory Cards from the Vita, or only Vita game cards?
Edit. Ok saw the official spec sheet. Looks like mem cards are the same, no internal memory :-/ but there is a USB connector, maybe there's a chance of an external hdd connection! Would be nice.

Agreed at all points. Have to say Sony really surprised me right now, I was expecting nothing at all at this conference, but they announced so many things. Saddened to see the screen downgrade, wonder if they will actually increase the screen resolution. Also loving that new game, Nactural Doctrine.
Up to 2 DualShock 3 controllers can be connected to PS Vita TV, allowing users to enjoy multiplayer games from PS One classics titles.
CTR IS BACK!
