Oh mugen is back :)

eh? :D Been back for a while man

@Demon: yeah that's what I think as well. As long as they put an unique/interesting spin on it I will be interested

@lehemsy: yeah I agree. I don't think we will hear of SS2 this year like you said. Would be a nice surprise tho

Guys do any of you believe the rumors of the Type-0 sequel ? IMO it is a plausible announcement, the first game is done, the West wants it localized, the Story, Characters, Gameplay, all have been already created, and knowing Square Enix we will have at least 3 other games, and I remember that SE announced two years ago that there will be type-1 and type-2, so what do you think ? Is this the #vitajrpg game Shahid talked about ?

im pressuming theres a next game in the series, the producer said that he wanted to make more. however he also said he wouldnt mind moving to home consoles iirc. would be good to see them expand the FF brand.

For anyone here that's played atelier totori on the vita, can you give me a quick description of it? and if you liked it as well.

I was gonna buy it when it was on special but my internet completely bugged out and i wasn't able to get it...

Do you need a description of only the Vita version; or a description of Atelier in general?

Rutea's probably the best person to give a reply to that, but I'll back it up a bit with my own thoughts.

It's a very cute game.  The story isn't the usual world-saving stuff - it's very small-scale and self contained.  The combat is turn-based and surprisingly decent.  Exploring the world is done through choosing locations on a map, which you can then visit and collect materials to use for alchemy.  The game runs on a set timer; so you can go to certain places at certain times to see special events.

I was very surprised how much I like the Atelier games.  They're a good change of pace from the usual JRPG's.

that's a very good point, atelier games are usually a very personal quest and more focused on getting to know the characters other than a big save the world kind of plot.

they are very lighthearted but extremely entertaining

hm.. thanks for the advice, i might get it even though it isn't on sale. Would you happen to know any popular games that are really similar to it? in like story and gameplay wise.

In terms of gameplay it's alchemy system is pretty unique to the series, gust seems to be making another game that will be similar but it hasn't released in Japan so I'll wait and see if it gets localized.

Atelier meruru plus releases tomorrow on the PS store in Europe. Yay. And I love that game, it was my first atelier, got me hooked.

Made me laugh.

Where the fuck did I speak about hacking games on vita. Hacking is not all about games you know.
For example, a hacked Vita can stream any fucking games on your computer OR on your ps3 actually WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. Did you know that ? Look on youtube.

So far psp greatest hacking feature was not games hacking. Its greatest feature was emulator by far. It could almost emulate anything, except CPS3, N64 and Dreamcast. Customisation by homebrew came in second position.

WRONG!

Remote play ps3 works on like 5% of games, I  tried and some of those games are still not playable for differente reasons: LAG, R2 L2 doesn't work in some racing games, etc.

Had PSP for a long time and hacked my friends' and NO ONE asked me If I knew a good emulator for any console, I only played 1 Pokemon on PSP, 99,9% fo the time I played PSP games and some very good PS1 games like Xenogears and Crash Bandicoot.

In MY opinion hacking was good primarly because of hombrew programs: youtube app, PDF reader, modded web browser. And for some plugins: one for folders in game column in xmb,one for SAVESTATES, and macrofire.

and it DOES emulate N64, not good, but playable zelda (lags in the first part of the game) and MK64

If you really want to know if a particular ps3 game works with Vita I will test it for you if you have some patience.

Check Wololo's blog if you want a hacked PSP emulator on your vita. (that's the only thing possibile)

Had the vita since launch, had MULTIPLE chances to hack it, NEVER DID, because it's useless! (IMHO)

This thread is going to be so awesome when Minecraft releases.

Am I the only person on this forum that has no interest in Minecraft? (On the same note, Terraria actually looks cool).

Me too! Also already played LAMECRAFT, a psp game-homebrew inspired by it and...meh, even on the bus I suppose looks better on the small screen.

pretty sure the type=0 2 domain stuff were proved to be fake.

Either way I'm not going to get my hopes up. SE now is very different to SE of the past. Heck I guess that goes for several other JP companies as well. Expect a TON of smartphone/browser games from them :S

At least for now we know Aksys has 2 RPGs for vita. Might be interesting

This is a sad reality, hopefully some startup/indie companies pick up the space they have left behind.
