So sounds like there's a new Ratchet and Clank game that is about to be revealed (the name got leaked) I'm guessing it will come to the vita too. Hopefully it's a proper entry and not a spin off title

I really hope it is a PS4 only game.  I dont want the game to be watered down just for it to run on the VITA.  I want a R&C like a Crack in time, but more open world.

Not sure what you mean by watered down? R&C games were never going to push graphical limits of consoles. That art style makes it easy to port over to other systems. They can easily make it work on vita.

VITA version of PS3 games dont look that good because they are just a lame lazy port and not optimized for it.  So I prefer the game to be only on console so they can focus all their effort in the game and not wasting time on a version of a game that will still look crappy in comparison; and that will be a lot better on consoles (we dont need a PSP2 -the PSP was most of the time a crappy PS2 portable-).    Now, they could make it VITA only; and that would be really cool, since they will optimize the game for the system; But I prefer games of series I have already played, to be played on a big screen; and considering we have not had a decent R&C in lot of time; I want them to try to push it by making it on PS4.   That way if you want to play it on the VITA you still can via remote play.

EDIT: Imagine R&C with graphics like KH3.   that would be so much win.

Sounds to me that your issue lies with lazy dev ports..that is perfectly fine. Which means they just have to do a good job at porting it. Just let blupoint or someone port it if they have to.

And also what is this nonsense about R&C being a lot better on consoles? That is highly subjective. It will have better visuals but even then we have games that look amazing on the vita. Add portability to the mix and it's up to the user to take whatever version they like best. R&C games imho are perfect for handhelds. They are never about pushing visuals and they are very simplistic games.

And if you think PSP was a PS2 portable then I have no idea what to even to say to you. PSP had some really amazing games that were exclusives. It definitely wasn't a ps2 port machine by any means.

Were KH3 visuals really that impressive to you? I mean really? I don't see it.

if you want insomniac of all people to actually push a system for graphics then you are looking at the wrong group of devs. They just won't. They never were.

Finally...do we even know this is a ps4 game? I wouldn't be surprised if this is a PS3 game to beging with

I'm sorry to butt into this conversation without reading the whole thing but:

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction on PS3 is easily the most graphically impressive title from 2007 on the console in my opinion*. I don't think anything else comes close. If you read about the development of the game, Insomniac said they wanted to create Pixar-quality visuals and I believe they thoroughly achieved that. That was only possible on consoles at the time and it was a case of Insomniac wanting to push the graphical boat out.

They don't do it often... but they can attempt it if they want to.

Aside from that though, I don't give two shits what console my Ratchet games are on. They look fantastic on a big screen but equally I'd love the portability of having a fully fledged game on the go. Just give me more!

I think it's the art style. Similar to Rayman. Looks amazing. But it's no Uncharted in the things it does visually.

PS: on an additional note on where I would like the game..I would like it on the vita. A solid R&C on the go would be great. It also would show sony gives a fuck about the system. At this point XSeed and Aksys is doing a better job than them. As muc has I love how these companies have announced new games for the system after this year I really don't have any good games look forward to. If there aren't at least a few games I want revealed by around end of gamescom I will strongly consider selling the system or trade it in to put money for a PS4 or a XBone.

Drake's Fortune was a meh looking game much like most early PS3 games. For my Tools of Destruction was the start of the PS3 holding it's own visually. Uncharted 2... yeah that looked stunning, 1st one, not so much!

Dunno if anyone's seen, but that "Mega Pack" Vita bundle (Wifi Console + 8gb + 10 game downloads inc WipEout and Little Big Planet) is £169.99 from Amazon and Vita Lounge have been reporting it's being heavily marketed on kids channels as a "kids pack". Every advert break on Disney Channel apparently.
