Well just got the good end for Neptune on Neptune Idol PP.

So fast???... But it came out just yesterday!...

Is the game understandable for non Japanese speakers or bad Japanese speakers?

I'm a fast reader. And a top idol producer*!

Anyway I think unless you are a strong Neptune fan and want to watch the various characters do (highly customizable) idol type performances, or can't wait or have zero faith in a localization, you probably want to hold off since there's a lot of text and that's a huge part of a game like this.

Well just got the good end for Neptune on Neptune Idol PP. It's actually a pretty entertaining idol sim. Lots of parody and comedic value. The songs are also nice. I can see a lot of playtime, with the characters that can be selected, multiple routes and endings, the possibility to team up with other characters, etc.

The graphics also look fantastic on the Vita screen. The 3D models look crisp like the last game on PS3, and the 2D sprites are very nicely animated. The videos and screenshots don't do it any justice at all. Just like a lot of other Vita games, you have to see it on the actual device...

Nepunepu!

=( and i will never play it

Well on the plus side all the past Neptune games have been localized, and it's Vita not PSP.

On the minus side it's Vita not PS3, and an idol game. Not sure if foreign demand would offset the localization...

MotoGP13 and Lego Legends of Chima Laval's Journey is now live on the store.(EU)

MotoGP 13 will probably be my most played game during the summer :D.

I'm not an idol game fan (tried Idolmaster but fell asleep, literarly), not a Neptune fan. But this game left me puzzled.

Basically, how would you judge the gameplay? What the gameplay consist of, exactly?

Various training to increase idol stats, publicity actions to increase fan share, vacation to keep stress down, etc. When you go to actual live performances you control camera options and special stage effects to woo viewers. The main goal is to get your chosen idol to #1 by beating MOB48 (lol AKB) and the rest of the characters. Obviously there's a lot of events that can trigger along the way for each character. I don't think I even triggered half the events for just one character (Neptune) with a single playthrough... You can also choose to team up with other characters and that will change the group dynamic. Luckily stats and event completion carry over.

I guess what I mean to say is, you need to enjoy visual novel type games to truly get the most enjoyment out of it. I ended up playing it the entire night...

Some of the new monsters in Toukiden:

lol, is their really an AKB refrence in Neptunia
