So, I don't really know what Starlight Inception is, but it's coming to Vita in August. Here's a teaser (full trailer coming on the 30th):

And here's a page telling us a bit of information about it:

"1st/3rd person free roaming space shooter". Yeah, I could be on board with this.

Their kickstarter page offers a lot more info than their offical site ^^;

This game has me super hyped. Anyway, does one know if i can download the demo on my ps3 then transfer it to my vita?

The art style on the this game alone has very interested.

unfortunately not El_Machete, not unless your Vita is set to a Jp PSN (The same as your ps3 jp psn account)

edit: A bit more info about the Vita version:

"I think it goes without saying that we need to support the accelerometer on the Vita (at least as an option) and that is what we’ve done. It uses a quaternion based system that allows you to set the resting point literally at any point you’d want while still behaving properly. As with most things it will need continued refinement as we polish other parts of the game. We are also experimenting with several different control configurations to make sure we have the best for every platform. Today I put together a quick prototype of one such control scheme that I’m going to run by everyone tomorrow and see if it is something we should pursue more or drop.

Performance is something that is very challenging when building a game such as this. We want the PC to be as high end as possible, while still maintaining very high quality on the other platforms. This means some custom art for each platform, custom texturing, and some crazy optimizations with where are memory is being used. We are now working on CPU and GPU profiling across the Vita and the PS3 to continue the effort of getting the best performance possible. The artists are probably going to be sick of me telling them to optimize their art by the end of this project."

This seems super interesting! It has been a long time since I've played a space simulation title, always loved it.

Epic Mickey Coming this 18 of June :)

I know this is slightly off topic, but it annoys me when Sony say things like:

"The powerful hardware included in PS Vita has no problem handling PS3-quality experiences on the go"

I agree, that's absolutely true, and it shines through when playing things like PSABR or Sly Cooper on Vita that are literally the same as their PS3 counterparts but with concessions in all the right places.

Why then does Sony hand off ports like Ratchet: Q Force to teams who clearly are too rushed/can't be bothered porting the game properly? Lopping off features; butchering the framerate. Ratchet should be an easy game to port because it doesn't have as much content as a full PS3 title.

And it just makes me wonder whether this Epic Mickey port is going to be a PSABR-quality deal or a Ratchet-quality title.

In any case, I'm hoping it's the former in which case I will probably pick it up at some point. Though I'll probably be in the vast minority of people in doing so, and I really wonder why Sony chose Epic Mickey 2 of all games to hunt down for Vita.

I honestly mean this when I say this; the Vita is making me broke.  I already have 3 games pre-ordered for it in the next 3 months, now this... UGH!
