I really don't see any reason to pre-order unless there's some incentive. The chance of any software selling out is so incredibly low these days.

If you buy from UK - retail for everything possible.
Day 1 price might be better on PSN but with the typical price drops in UK shops box copies will be cheaper soon.

I'm curious to see how many Vita games will have PS+ deals, if you have that it is definitely something to look out for. Otherwise I would want a collection of beautiful cases.
Yeah as he said, UK retail will always undercut PSN even if PSN offers some decent discounts initially. A quick shop around UK online retailers shows Deus Ex and Rage sub £10... Rayman for £15 etc, no way would PSN match that.
It's a shame as I wanna go all digital but I guess we're just not there yet. Still, there are plenty of digital only games to fill up that over priced SD card... Stardust, Gravity Daze, Escape Plan, Motorstorm etc.

Although it should be said that PSN is getting closer to retail even on PS3 games now... last EA sale had DS2 + all DLC for £20, Dante's Inferno + all DLC for £13 and plenty of other games have got 'close'. I think the Sly trilogy and Ico bundle are boh cheaper on PSN then retail.
So I guess on some games if you wait for sales you'll be in luck, especially if they give PS+ users the same love they do PS3.
