Just finished Gravity Rush.
Was anyone else turned off by the overly cryptic story? And please no spoilers, for those who haven't played it :)

Just finished Gravity Rush.

Actually I thought the story felt like it was laying the groundwork for a much bigger universe in future installments should they decide to make any more :)
At first I thought the DLC was going to fill the background in more, but after those 3 packs it was still as ???
Really can't wait to get back into Gravity Rush's world in a sequel. So they better do one!

I hope there is a sequel too. The mechanics are great. And Kat is a tremendous character. I just wish the story wasn't so confusing and oblique. The last third of the game left me scratching my head. Oh well, maybe we'll get the answers in Gravity Rush 2.

That's just the thing people say about a lot of stuff now and everything gets a label slapped on it regardless of if it deserves it or not. If people really wanted masterbation material in a game, they wouldn't look for it on a handheld or console. |
It's Japan.. the country where Guys marry its consoles/games/characers (LovePlus have You hear about it?) The country of the onanism.. is not rare and that's the appealing target for this type of games and features... actually I'm one of those who find appealing this type of pervertness.. but still is funny... is not prejudge, I justfind it fun to make a joke about it.
So,
I will be traveling to the US for 3 weeks soon, and I think I will finally buy that Vita. Now, I don't know much about how to find good deals online for the US so I was hoping that some of you do know which would be the best deals at the moment and don't mind to share.

I think thatthe story was lacking in the sense thatit doesn't clear anything.. just hint some obvious things for next chapters... I see it like Blazblue Calamity Trigger, great story but in front of Continum Shift it become a mere Prologue/introduction of the true story of the series...
Gravity's storyhave potential and have great characters to develop so just lets wait second chapter.. or the first one?

Monster Hunter is another story. That's not really a home console series anymore, it's been adopted on handhelds much better. Presumably because of the "pick up and play" nature of the game. Out of the games you listed for PSP - MGS Peace Walker, Final Fantasy Type 0 and the GTA games were all adapted for handhelds in some way too, and that's exactly what I'm talking about. Blockbuster franchises are going to help Vita, but they've got to be portable-friendly. By the way, I'm not saying handheld design should be 5 minute missions throughout the game or anything. Just more sort of... do whatever you want kind of style. So that you can feel like when you pick it up, whether you have 5 minutes or 5 hours, you can contribute to the game. I've sat playing GTA Vice City Stories for hours at a time progressing the main story; but I've also been able to pick it up for 10 minutes and manage my empire or something, and that kind of design works better. Like I say, it's an interesting topic that I enjoy hearing thoughts about. And you know, I do personally enjoy playing home console-esque experiences on my Vita. But the market, as a whole, doesn't seem to, and I don't want to see this device go down the pan when some really simple things could help it. Maybe the price cut it all it needs and in 12 months time this kind of post will seem really silly, but somehow I doubt it. |
in theses days You can pick ANY game 5 minutes and contribute to the story.. all games are filled with Automatic checkpoint each corner.. So I don't see a problem with a game being console size... small sessions are possible in nowaday games.. Actually that's What I do.. I pick a game play it 15-30minutes or 1-2 hours... then quit and pick another.. some hook me more time and I pick them as I have any free time (wipeout 2048 was a challenging and hooking game..)
and on Vita doing that's is EASIER.. the transition betqeen a game and another.. or between games and apps is almost CERO.. You can quit agame faster than on PS3 or any other console.. and then pick another one.. or just put the console in stand by and play whenever you have time.. I do that a lot... sometimes I'm playing and Chatting on facebook or browsing the forum.. etc..
i think that depend of people's habits... mine's suit almost any genre...

rigth now.. assasin's creed 3 liberation +4gb memorycard + white vita is the best deal.. 250$.. just buy a new 8gb minimum extra memory card... and grab some cheap games.. like Mortal Kombat, Hot Shot Golf, Rayman origins, Wipeout2048, Unit13, sonic sega rally, or a 50$ PSN card and pay for PS+ and You'll get 6 vita games plus some PS3's... but don't forget to get Gravity Rush anyway.. digital with PS+ offers or in Physical... that's a must play for the console...
Yep listen to Demon..that's the best way to go at the moment.
And about retro city Rampage..it's a VERY simple game. The charm is within the countless parodies in it of other games and movies.

The guy who married his DS (love plus) was actually from Singapore, but that's not really the point. The US is far more keen on things to get them off than Japan. Not sure where your second statement fits at all.
