I was waiting until the 32GB memory card went to $60 or less and then I signed up for the PS+ because of the Vita last month and decided to get one at $80. I saw this at CAG a couple days ago and am sad :(.

It can be prevented though, it's a bit of a lottery with the PS Vita screen quality, some launch models didn't have it at all.

That isn't a placeholder. It's the official boxart for the standalone version. The new boxarts are for the dual pack. http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/soulsacrifice/ja/product/
Pretty good idea, I think. Japs have an innate collector mentality and I can imagine some of them buying both the individual and dual packages only to have all covers.
