Well, for how long has this pool been available? I think 24 hours is more than enough.

The ex bought UMVC3 for the ps3 a few months back, we played it a bit but I was so bad :(. Everyone says the vita is like heaven to play fighters on but I've never been good at them and they all seem to have terrible tutorials that assume you were already into fighting games and know the basic lingo etc. I wish there was a spectator mode lol, I'd totally sign on just to watch you guys fight.

Was going to play monster hunter again today, ended up watching Ragnarok Odyssey vids instead lol. God my life is sad when my Christmas list is like rice cooker and psn cards, my family is going to think I'm nuts.

edit: I'd leave the poll up for at least 3 days, not everyone visits the site  every day but may still be interesting having their opinion counted. I know everyone is eagar but it's better to take our time and  get things done right than fumble all over each other just to have it done.

I will be over here being a killjoy.  :(

Nah we love you here and the way you explained your christmas list was so funny lol.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

well in UMVC3 vita...you can either do a

1. Very easy mode play through

or

2. touch mode...where basically a simple random tap will be turned into a move by the game.

I HONESTLY think Tekken is the easiest fighter to get into...but it's a game that has a lot of depth afterwards.

Found a playthrough/preview of Dokuro..lots of gameplay details..ya'all platform/puzzle junky's will love this game :P

Ragnarok Odyssey's Director on the Huntin Genre in the west

There really haven’t been many cases where titles that have grown popular in Japan performed just as well overseas. Ordinarily, I’d say you’d need to take a title that’s doing well, make it into a series and run a long-term promotion on it, and only then would it do well – so maybe one shouldn’t expect instant sales on games like this. Rather, I think it’s best just to build up the series’ reputation and create a good rapport with the fans, allowing the genre to grow naturally.

Also, when thinking of the North American and European markets, one tends to think of online play as being more important than the single-player campaign. The single-player game needs to be good, of course, but having exceptional multiplayer is absolutely essential to success, I believe.

And finally… this isn’t just limited to overseas fans, but for fans of hunting games in general, I think being able to play on a big screen is pretty important. The bigger, the better, especially in a game like this with enormous screen-filling bosses. I’m sure there are many people who would prefer a big screen to enjoy the intense, showy action this genre is known for, and there may be other players who would really prefer to play games like this with a controller, too."

Unfortunately Capcom never managed to get spectator mode working in that game (Works well enough in regular street fighter), the best you can do is watch the player cards hit each other... But yeah, you should try the challenge mode, it generally start off slow to teach you special moves.  The only thing they don't teach is the sliding motions you have to do for the d-pad parts of the moves.  It took me quite a long time to figure out when I was a kid playing Street Fighter on a Genesis.  I would always press the buttons right after each other and that would mess up the timing.

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you could help me with a little list I'm making. I'm trying to see what PSP games I'd be interested in are compatible with the Vita, but it's proving really tricky. I've been browsing the PSN store (from PS3) making a note of the games that say they're compatible, but there's still some grey areas. I found a few lists around the internet, but I'm unsure whether they're only for the US store or if they count for the EU/UK store as well. So if there's anyone using the EU store who has tried/knows about any of these games, I was just wondering if you could tell me if they're compatible with Vita?

Burnout Legends
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars
Daxter
Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake
Pursuit Force / Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice
Sims 2 Castaway
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
Twisted Metal: Head on
Valkyria Chronicles 2
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
WipEout Pulse

Thank you in advance :)

everyone of those definitely work on ps vita but im not sure, what needs a ps3 to be transfered

I have no problems with depth and it taking a long time to learn something . Hell I know the fundamanetals of playing zerg in startcraft 2 and I can preform a slower, less graceful version of builds pros use but it will still be a long time before I can execute all my build orders without getting supplied blocked or missing an upgrade. Nevermind hit the timings pros do and god forbid you ask me to micro very fragile but high damage caster units right now. Still there's a lot of resources out there to help me learn to play better, the community is pretty friendly and I've made definite improvements to my play since I started.

I like the idea of games that are easy to learn and very hard to fully understand and master. If I will wake up at 2 am to watch broodwar live in korea I can put in the time to learn a fighting game. Last time I tried I ended up finding the assist me series which was mildly helpful and very entertaining. What few moves I can pull off on purpose is due to that series. I still reserve that several fighting games have bad tutorials though, maybe more of the newer ones are better and I just haven't had a chance to play them. Perhaps in the future I may take another crack at fighting games , I may never have been good at them but that doesn't mean I can't be if I put in genuine effort and resources outside the games themselves are available.

Dokuro is on my list of things to get shortly into the new year. It sounds so cleverly designed and I can imagine myself swearing on occasion because I miss calculated something or because I switched forms at the wrong time. ^-^

I am kinda sad that andriasang is closing. One of the great sources for Japanese games.

Oh, it's no problem if they need a PS3 to be transferred, I can take care of that, I just don't want to buy a Vita + all these PSP games and then find that they don't work on the system at all.

Just be aware that even though zavvi price of Valkyria Chronicles 2 is ~13€, the price on PSN is sadly ~34€. (I haven't compared the prices of other game, I know this by accident 'coz I wanted to buy VK2 last week).
