Its the Asian version of Rangarok with the XSEED english translation... it was around $40 US. I know I told myself that I wouldn't buy the Asian version and that I'd go all digital... but DAMN! I just so want to play Ragnarok Odyssey! The free original sound track didn't help in me resisting  either...

So now I have Ragnarok Odyseey... HELLZ YEAH!! I'll just buy the NA PSN version once it comes out. I'm supporting the Vita as much as I can to supporting the Vita as I'm going to be buying this game twice AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

See you guys in a few days or so..maybe a week..or a few weeks..maybe longer.. who knows.. I'm gonna be one busy and happy Vita gamer!

I really wouldn't know coz I dont live there. But for someone who can't speak an ounce of chinese, i'd have to say that gaming there would suck balls.. for me at least lol!

Hong Kong would probably be a better place for gaming, since you know, it was a british colony so not only do they get chinese versions, they also get english versions. If i'm not mistaken, the R3 PS3 games that are english are probably made for HK.

PSP is rules in Japan because of the popular console like games not unique games.

Let's say people outside internet don't know this uniques games but even in internet where it's easy to know games exist console like games make much more buzz then unique games.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

As a person that will try to move there next year, i have to say that S'Pore is very English. At least in everything that matters. (You can get in S'Pore games from all regions in same amount as you can get them in HK).

Just completed my first two missions and it feels like playing a hack and slash game. Apparently, it still stays close to its roots (ragnarok online) seeing as how head gears are what makes most of the customization here.

Anyways, the graphics are nice and colorfull and pretty. I went with the evil eyes coz they look just badass. Enjoying it so far. gonna try online now :p

I have never really understood this argument.  In the history of videogames, at least as far back as I can remember (fourth generation-ish) there's never been a situation like DS/PSP before until this generation.  Just some examples:

  • 4th Gen - SNES/Mega Drive both sell about 50 million, close race.  Nintendo Gameboy sells 8x more than closest rival, Sega Game Gear.
  • 5th Gen - Playstation sells 100 million, 3x more than closest rival N64.  Nintendo Gameboy Colour again rapes the competition.
  • 6th Gen - PS2 sells 150m (100m at the end of gen) 7x more (5x during gen) than closest rival Xbox.  Nintendo GBA destroys all competition again.
And then we have the 7th Gen - Wii closes in on 100 million while rivals PS3 & Xbox 360 are on ~ 65 million a piece.  An easy win, but only 1.5x the sales of the other two systems and far less than both of them combined.  

 

In terms of handhelds, DS achieved PS2-esque numbers of ~ 150 million while PSP achieved half that amount, somewhere in the 75 million region.  Judging by everything that's gone on before, I'd say the PSP was a fairly decent achievement, and not anything that Sony is going to consider unsuccessful.   No handheld has ever gotten close to Nintendo in that market and the PSP - although still at only half the sales - is the best there's ever been.  And in eras where one console has dominated (PS1 era, PS2 era, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance etc.), all the other consoles combined don't even reach half the numbers of the dominant console, yet PSP achieved those figures on its own.

 

So yeah, just my $2.  I think the PSP was a success especially in the face of what the DS did.  In fact, that's the whole reason we have a Vita at this point.

Dammit people! I want Ragnarok Oddyssey now! I really am looking forward to it, I just hope it's not delayed. Maybe I'll get the english version? I dunno. how do you guys get the english version already?
