Well their are different reports out today. Yesterday CBC claimed that the attack was by a Lulzsec member. Today it is unclear as the hacker used Lul in his name but Lulzsec doesn't seem to have taken credit. Also turns out the attack wasn't just a prank the hacker did steal all the info on Conservative Party donors so he has a list of everyone who supports the Conservative Party also apparently credit card info may also have been lifted.

So much for just a funny prank, good thing I haven't donated recently. My credit card should be safe!

I don't see why that would matter. It's not likely that they would be caught and if they did get caught it's unlikely the Chinese would be able to do anything.
