Could be if Sony didn't expect you to buy the same game twice to play the same game on both platforms...

Buy twice to stream a PS3 game in PSVita? LOLOLOLOLOL.

You don't need that.

as I explained in my previus post streaming isn't really viable at decent resolution without lag and cross play games announced now will require you to buy the game twice so offering an option to stream would conflict with their current business strat.

There would be a way of handeling some functionality like the inventory etc by supporting a seperate app on the Vita that runs there and relays input to the PS3 game but that would seem like a waste of time and money with limited use.

I think you not saw the PSP controling a PS3 game by stream... or even the Sony Vaio doing the same thing... Remote Play (using video stream) already exists in PS3 and works fine with no lag or resolution problem.

For now Nintendo showed nothing with Wii U that PS3 + PSVita (or even PSP) can't do too.

The PS3 doesn't have the hardware built in to communicate the video feed to a handheld. It's not something that would be unlockable with a simple firmware update - it's literally impossible for the PS3 and PSV to function like that.

It's POSSIBLE it could be done with a USB add-on, but that introduces lag and another purchase, and isn't even confirmed as possible. It's not just simple wireless. It would need a dedicated wireless connection specifically for each device.

What? PS3 does... even with PSP... it had that feature just the developer not use it.

PS3 + PSVita had showed doing the same thing on Sony conference than Nintendo showed with Wii U.

What? They showed the Vita as a fully integrated controller with a second screen that can display something differently, be used as a direct controller for the game and can display a 360 degree world via the motion gubbins? I'd like to see that.

PSP already do that in Gran Turismo 5 and others games.

I guess the people here never saw the PS3/PSP   integration... the PS3/PSVita integration will be better.

My point is... or Nintendo hiding something or or what it had showed so far can be done with the PS3 PSVita... I'm with the first option... there are something new not showed yet.

yoshida says Wii U will likely inspire ps vita and ps3 games.

correct me if I am wrong
stop me if I am bias
I love a good civilised debate (but only if we can learn something).

And you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. I have been using Remote play since Sony released it years ago. Not only can I stream the game to my PSP, I can do it over the internet from hundreds of miles away. I can even remote access all of my PS3 data, including video. The game just needs to support the feature. So if Sony ever decides to make this a higher priority on their console, I would imagine a lot more games would support it.

...video of the ps3 doing exactly what you said it couldn't : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mASdFCTNA7I

read up buddy : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_Play

why are people so outspoken on topics they have no clue about? btw what does a device need to stream video besides wifi and a powerful enough processor?
