Could be if Sony didn't expect you to buy the same game twice to play the same game on both platforms...

Buy twice to stream a PS3 game in PSVita? LOLOLOLOLOL.

You don't need that.

as I explained in my previus post streaming isn't really viable at decent resolution without lag and cross play games announced now will require you to buy the game twice so offering an option to stream would conflict with their current business strat.

There would be a way of handeling some functionality like the inventory etc by supporting a seperate app on the Vita that runs there and relays input to the PS3 game but that would seem like a waste of time and money with limited use.

You wouldnt need 2 games for streaming a different view to the vita screen. Not that its really practical for most games anyway.

Well then you run into the issue of witreless bandwidth, I doubt that Nintendo are using Wi-fi to stream their content, especially if you want to play online at the same time. I am sure that the Wii U has dedicated hardware to handle streaming. Nether the Vita or the PS3 are designed with that in mind, the PS3 doesn't even have 802.11n

Im pretty sure Wi-fi would be fast enough, its already possible with PSP/PS3, but they could use bluetooth too, would it be faster? What technology could nintendo use that would be faster then those technology while being at an acceptable price?

well i saw Ruin which was the same thing nintendo was showing off, and an firmware update and SONY could convert PSV into what Nintendo is offering and i have an feeling they will do that.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

bluetooth isn't quite as fast as Wi-fi and yes it kinda works on the PSP but that is a lot lower resolution and you don't have a lot of other data like input that has to be kept lag free etc

Maybe it can be optimize no? If not, they could always do it through an internet connection, it would limit the userbase though.

me :P. Jokes aside, its starting to becomes the norms in big city. (having in mind HD for a lower resolution screen)

I thought it would be cool if it could be used as an input device for PS3 if the touchscreen was used for typing and the back trackpad as a trackpad.

Really? Are people planning ways to copy Nintendo already? I'm going to take a little poll to see how many people here, posted on another thread how they hated the Nintendo idea....and then come on here and plan ways to copy WiiU...... lolz

The PS3 doesn't have the hardware built in to communicate the video feed to a handheld. It's not something that would be unlockable with a simple firmware update - it's literally impossible for the PS3 and PSV to function like that.

It's POSSIBLE it could be done with a USB add-on, but that introduces lag and another purchase, and isn't even confirmed as possible. It's not just simple wireless. It would need a dedicated wireless connection specifically for each device.

What? PS3 does... even with PSP... it had that feature just the developer not use it.

PS3 + PSVita had showed doing the same thing on Sony conference than Nintendo showed with Wii U.

What? They showed the Vita as a fully integrated controller with a second screen that can display something differently, be used as a direct controller for the game and can display a 360 degree world via the motion gubbins? I'd like to see that.
