3/10 from me

Mass Effect 3 Kinect integration for combat looked good and it will be nice not needing to disrupt the action to bring the powers wheel up. Gears 3 and Ghost Recon looked very slick. Halo 4 officially announced was good but completely expected.

The biggest reason for such a low score is nothing in this show was a surprise and it felt completely underwhlemin from start to finish. The MW3 start was boring and really didn't set a good feeling for the show from the off. This score would have been double if they'd actually demo'd what people wanted. We wanted to see Kingdoms, Forza 4 (actual game footage not bullshit recorded trailer), Halo HD. All in all it lacked in every department.

For those saying wasn't this the same as last year though, that is a definitive no. Last year we saw the true potential of Kinect and it's uses which hadn't been shown before. This year they didn't have anything new to show us other than the fun labs crap which frankly seems pointless. All the announcements were weak.

5/10

I would've voted 0 but you didn't give us that option.

After 360 votes, the average rating so far is 4.54

probably best to add a 1 to 1.5 on to that average considering the user base of vgchartz but even with that a 6 to 6.5 (I rated it a 6) is not good.  MS seems  lost on how to use kinect correctly with core games, and really this gen is just starting to feel old in general.

Giving it a 4/10.
Too much time on multiplat ( why start every year with a game you don't even make and that is available on your competitor hardware too ? At least announce something exclusive about CoD if you're going to try to milk it that much).
Too much kinect on rails.
No real surprise....

PS : Halo 4 for Holydays 2012 means no new console before holydays 2013 at the earliest....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I voted 7, but I thought it's a 6.5.
without Halo 4 and Minecraft it would probably have been 3/10. Way too much Kinect and casual junk.

But first minecraft and then Halo 4 belew me totally away, so made it 6.5. Stilll I would have wished for less Kinect focus and some more core games.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

I agree but I can only assume it is one of the contractual obligations they signed to get exclusive content is that they show the game off at their conference each year.  It's a pretty big stage for a FPS game on the console that traditionally housed the most FPS fans.

I gave it a 5. I think I was a little generous. I think that next year, they are going to introduce the next gen console, and that is the reason that they are holding so much back(god, it has to be something.) After the conference was over, I was like,"This is it?!" This conference was embarrassing. It seemed like something they just threw together. Most of the Kinect stuff was lame. I liked Ubisoft's Ghost Recon with it though. Definately unique. Hopefully the game is good too. I hope Microsoft isn't stupid enough to make Kinect a requirement for the new Fable. I keep watching them with the Kinect. The lag is still terribly noticeable, and do I really want to be getting a workout every time I play one of my favorite games? I was disapointed with the Sesame demo too. I was watching it with my 4 year old son, and he wasnt impressed either. That's sad. I was looking forward to playing this game with him. Hopefully they just showed the worst parts of the game. Great, I get to waggle with my hands instead of a Wii-mote. Kinect's technology is really cool, except that the lag is terrible. The Star Wars game, although nothing to look at, seemed like it could be fun except for the lag. Geez Microsoft, this is the best you could come up with for the whole year? I don't think I have ever been more disappointed with an E3 conference, and that's saying something.

10 - Once again MS seems to be a shoe-in to "win E3" as they do every year.

The only thing that was off was Stars Wars. However, given Kudos comments about experiences, Stars Wars seems more in line with Stars theme ride or experience than a hard core game. As an "experience" Stars Wars might work well.

The new media stuff is awesome.

Awesome Kinect intergration for Better with kinect titles.
