some games were only exclusives because it was hard to program to the ps3 back than to the relatively small base
3rd party exclusives aren't good for anyone

I think they are for the most part, but handheld 3rd party games still have a few exclusives, namely for the DS and now 3DS

I think there should be less 3rd party exclusives as possible, as long as it's not impossible to port a game without ruin it or modify it radically, it should go multiplatform. It's just better for consumers. Also, it's a first party task to create distinctive features and distinctive games for their consoles.

pretty much yeh.

Thats why Im glad PS3 has so many first party IP's, with bungie and insomniac going multi heck Xcom and metro is going multi as well the only ones you can rely on staying exclusive are first party games.
