Will consider that. On the one hand we don't want to put off our most active members from contributing because they can no longer win something, on the other hand we don't want to put other people off because they think they don't stand a chance and just the same few people will win each month.


Exactly, we'll see how things play out for the first couple of months. My main prioirty here is to make the system fair and reward those who work hard but obviously it is going to be a shame if the same person keeps winning every month. The intention is to find the right balance so that the top 3-4 spots are tightly contested each month...

Some of the functionality isn't in place yet (add cheats, user reviews, refer a user) and some of the points per action may be tweaked depending on how things go...


Don't worry I'm only aiming to win this months and go for 3rd or second in the summer, when fall comes I should drop to 5th since I start college then. Also I'm going to make sure I don't go to high in points from 2nd place since that might scare away members from adding to the DB which these awards are giving us our most activity in...years.

u know banners are cute and all but reward 2 much points for something that don't add so much 2 the game database itself..

It seems only the first 25 can be viewed, when it states the top 100 should able to be viewed.

Sadly the only thing really left in the Database to add are new games, banners and pics so I'm assuming thats why they've allways been high in points and becasue they require work of croping and editing to get the certain size.

i'll be honest i can't make banners, but if you can do it you can do it in the same pace as adding screenshots
so why banners give so much more points is a riddle for me

But the ones I do are for games no one hears of or they really don't want to hear of the game....also on the pace I'm at  I can hit my 300k total points by the end of the summer!
