I was brosing the Game Trailer's site, and noticed that GT gave SMG game of the year in the action/adventure catagory.  Apparantly some of the people who were posting remarks were pretty upset that it got GOTY in this category.

This made me think....shouldn't SMG win game of the year in most categories?

Innovation....YES

Platformer....YES

RPG...YES (Mario gets new abilities doesn't he)

Racer...YES (There are parts that require racing and speed elements)

Sports...YES (Twirling around and beating stuff up isn't a sport but should be perhaps)

Action/Adventure...YES (According to GT)

Puzzle...YES (There is stuff to figure out)

Overall ......YES, YES, AND YES!!!!

There are other catagories perhaps, but this were ones I could think of off the top of my head.

GO SMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I suppose I will just get things started.... 

ummm rpg? :S I mean in crash bandicoot you get new abilities and thats not an rpg, I agree, on the platform and action/adventure, and puzzles also

nice!  Not intended for a flame war though.  Some truth mingled with some sacrcasm for the joy of SMG and for fun.

Most of those categories SMG is average in - certainly not GotY material.

 Any thread with the OP trying to give SMG GoTY for racing, sports, and RPG is going to end badly....but I suppose it is the season for miracles..eh?

Come on, sqrl, obviously there is some sacrasm in this thread. Don't take it too seriously. No reason for this to have to end bad.
